This bank allowed my money to be electronically stolen from my checking account by scammers; $215 got taken out of my account , I disputed the charge and closed the account with them . The bank gave me a provisional credit but its on hold ********** completes the investigation, they claim that is the process but I know it is not. Provisional credit is supposed to be available to me to use since its my money and not be held by the bank until they hear back from **** about the investigation, basically they gave me this credit but wont allow me to use it. That is not how provisional credit works . This was a fraudulent charge and the bank should be resolving it with **** and I should not have to wait for a month or who knows how long before the investigation is complete. My money is supposed to be protected by the banking institution but instead I got it stolen and not only that but the bank is freezing the so called credit I am supposed to get by law. During this difficult times they are holing that money in my account. I understand that is not a legal nor ethical practice by banking institutions which are supposed to keep their costumers money safe and never keep their costumers liable for money that get electronically stolen. I want my money to be available to me right away while they are doing their investigation. I should not have to wait till its complete since that was a fraudulent change . I brought that fraudulent charge to their attention the same day it happened because I didnt recognize the charge and I knew it was a fraud. Please, help me get my money back from this bank . Times are tough and I need every dollar I make.
