    I was unable to update my initial post due to not having to create an account. I decided to go ahead and post again in the hopes that it will provide some clarity to other consumers. After contacting the BBB and Consumer Affairs in **********, almost a year later AJ's Custom Wigs refunded my money. Although, this was against their policy and I am truly grateful that they resolved my issue. I appreciate the follow through and willingness to finally respond to the inquiries and attempts made by the BBB and NJ Consumer Affairs. Initial Post: I purchased a wig from this company in November of 2023, I waited until January to receive the unit because they stated it was custom so it took time to make and send. I waited and waited patiently. I received the unit in January and it looked nothing like what I ordered. I sent the item back and asked for the company to send me pictures of the unit before it was sent back out so I could ensure it was correct and the company stopped responding. It is now June and I havent received the unit nor heard from the company. At this point I would like to have a full refund, I dont want to deal with this company again. This is unfair and I am sure they are going to say they reached out, etc but I have all documentation. I dont want to have to take this to court as it would be at my expense. I would like the company to just refund me the total cost.

    First of all, let me start by saying this is by far the wig company I have ever ordered from. Small black owned business. I have been ordering with this company since day one and they have never failed me. Definitely a fan. I see there's a lot of complaints about the turnaround, but it definitely specifies the wait time. I can honestly say, I've received my unit in a timely manner. And not for nothing, I don't know about you ladies, if I wanted a wig that is rushed then I would go to the beauty salon store and get me one. Each of my orders, and I have already purchased 5, have been hand crafted with love and you can tell. The units are first time user friendly, natural looking and comes with great quality hair. LOVE LOVE LOVE EVERYTHING about my units. Thank you. Keep up the great work that you do for us ladies. I feel beautiful, confident and very much Diva in my units.

    I wish I could give 0 stars. Still waiting on a wig I purchased 8/14/2023. I just started the dispute process with ****** and my bank because this is ridiculous. Ive emailed twice and they respond that the tracking will be updated within a few days from pre-shipment. Its been in a pre-shipment status since 9/2/2023. I also see that they have limited comments on instagram so I must not be the only one waiting well over a month. At this point there may be a class action in the works soon.

    Although I absolutely loves their wigs their customer is the worse Ive ever experienced. They did not respond to my messages requesting an update on when my order would ship. I opened a dispute to get a return and miraculously my ordered shipped that was on July 8th I placed the order on May 30th. I sent a follow up email because I ordered transparent lace and I received a wig with lace 3x lighter than my complex and a brown makeup line through the part, I have yet to receive a response. Ive ordered from them several times and the customer service has been iffy but this time was the worse.. as much as I love their products I wont give my money to a company that doesnt appreciate or value my business.

    Im all about supporting black business until they give you a reason not too. First time I purchased from this place my unit came in a timely manner. I bought a few units after (January and February) and until I filed a PayPal claim (after asking plenty of times ETA on units) is when I received the units in MAY. Then she lied and said two of my units were delivered because she claimed they were under the same tracking number when I only received oneit was a disaster and more. I ended up getting 3/4 of the units I ordered. The 4th unit was never made and I wasnt going to wait any longer or deal with her anymore so I asked for a refund. After this hassle, she blocked me on Instagram lol. Please invest in other stores and wig companies it is not the wait or hassle of never receiving your units!

    Buyer beware this is a fraud company- they to lead you into thinking they are working on your unit. Weeks go by they send out a postal tracking and NEVER mails out the merchandise- I placed my order in April its June - what do I have FAKE TRACKING NUMBER WITH NO TRACKING - I have filed a complaint and refund request through my financial institution- DO NOT BUY this is your warning.

    I purchased the Fall wig from her in early September 2022. I didn't receive my purchase until late October after I had to file a PayPal claim(I reached out several times prior to contacting PayPal). Customer service was horrible. Upon initial receipt, the wig looked beautiful, albeit the density seemed a little thin. I made the mistake of saving the eig for a special occasion in November, and I wish I hadn't done that. Although the coloring and construction were done well the quality of the hair is trash. It tangles SO MUCH throughout the day and the shedding is disastrous. Even if you don't wear it every day the amount of shedding when you do wear it makes it even thinner. This wig was not worth the $550 paid for it. I regret purchasing it, and wish I would have spent my money elsewhere. Don't buy from here.

    My unit was worth the wait !!! Im extremely happy with my unit !!! I have cancer and let me tell you my unit looks like its coming from my scalp !! It gave me confidence I never knew I had because dealing with this disease has been very depressing. But ajcustomwigs was able to bring my confidence back in extremely thankful!!! Reading some of these reviews, saddens me because its so easy for people to complain and leave a bad review instead of a good one. So I wanted to leave to one and show my support and how happy I was able to find this company. This is my third wig and my wig is snatchedddddddd honey whewwwww

    I also order the Emma unit. Was so excited about the wig but boy was I wrong. Number one the wig order process was almost two months..ok no problem, good things come to those who wait. But this is not the case!! The wig color is not what is shown on the website. The overall wig to me was a total different look than what is shown on the site. Honestly I will never order from this store again.
