Over the past 2 years Ive been bringing my vehicle for service ant Acura of Ramsey. My vehicle has not been appropriately fixed over these years, despite me paying a lot of money for major repairs. I got my transmission replaced about 2 years ago and my car has sounded like a truck ever since. I attempted to bring it back and the result was the same. However, 2 weeks ago the transmission light and a **** warning light came on. I took my vehicle back for service. I was quoted a price over the phone of $200 less than what I ended up paying once I picked my vehicle up in person. I agreed to the initial price based on the quote and I never received an email breakdown of service for that quote despite multiple calls. I was told that the **** system was triggering other signals on the dashboard, and 2 tire pressure monitors needed to be changed at approximately $500. The day I picked my vehicle up, my transmission light came back on in less than 2 miles from the dealer after me paying $712 and originally being told it was about $820. I have been charged a large sum of money without proper repair of my vehicle again. I believe I was mis quoted on price to get me to agree to the service, so the price could be hiked later and Id have no choice but to pay it if I wanted my vehicle. I have reached out to Acura corporate, but they have been a little help. I am scheduled to bring my vehicle in today, but no one rushed to contact me until now and I have not heard from the general manager as I requested. I fear I will experience the same scenario again. I just want my vehicle fixed without having to spend another hundreds or thousand of dollars again because this dealer is ripping me off on purpose and not providing the services being paid for.
