On October 5, 2020, I purchased a dust collector from Hot Tips Beauty for $125.96. As a new self-taught nail tech (beginning in April 2020), I was extremely excited to have a great tool that would aid me in the process. It was a great product! It worked very well! I would only use the item 1-2 times a month, as I only did my own nails. This is much less than a full time nail tech would. I used the dust collector on October 12, 2021 when doing my own nails. It worked perfectly like every other time. On October 17, 2021, I went to use the dust collector on my first client and it would not turn on. I attempted multiple times with different outlets however, it still did not work. When returning home, I attempted to turn it on again, however, it still did not work. I left the dust collector alone for a few days to see if that helped, however, it did not. I reached out to the company to see if this is a common occurrence and for a potential replacement. I first attempted to communicate the issue on October 23, by emailing customer service with the address provided on the website. After not receiving a response, I used the form on their website that gets sent to customer service on October 27. No response. I then sent a direct message to their Instagram on Friday October 29. No response. I then sent another message on November 1 to both their Instagram and ******** accounts. I also commented under two photos for them to respond to my direct messages. After almost 2 weeks, I have received no response at all in regards to the nonworking item. I would simply like a replacement for the item as I have only had it a year and used it only 15 times in the last year for approximately 1-3 hours at a time. The original order number is HTB-USA-*****. As a nail tech that is beginning to take clients, a nail dust collector is an essential and I am now without one. If they do not wish to provide a replacement, I would appreciate a refund so that I may purchase on elsewhere.
