Please note that the following account reflects my personal experience and may not represent the overall practices of the company; however, it highlights significant concerns regarding their trustworthiness and respect for ********** June 2024, we consigned items valued between $30,000 and $50,000 with Goldin, specifically through D.A. During the three months that our items were in their possession, D.A. and Goldin were unable to locate two of them. After extensive communication, they managed to find one item, which they sent to a grading company without our consent, a service not stipulated in our contract, constituting a breach of contract. The second item was lost, then found, only to be misplaced again. After nearly six months and a direct confrontation with D.A., they shifted the blame onto us, alleging that we never mailed the item. Goldin has yet to acknowledge the issue of the missing item or the lack of respect shown to their customers. Eventually, the item surfaced on **** and was sold under the name CargoLargo. The item in question had a serial number, allowing us to confirm its identity through the matching serial number. Following this incident, we have lodged complaints with ****, the ************************, and the Better Business Bureau. I urge you to exercise caution when engaging with this company and to ensure that all communications are documented, as we did. Remember, it does not incur any costs for them to sell your items beyond their payroll, as they operate as a consignment company and do not pay for the items they sell, thus having no vested interest other than earning a commission of 10-20%.

In early June 2024, we reached out to Goldin Auctions LLC to consign a collection of collectible Star Wars items valued between $30,000 and $50,000. We ensured the items were shipped via ***** with next-day air service and required signature confirmation, addressed to **** ********. However, after more than two months of correspondence, on August 23rd, **** informed me that they were unable to locate two of the items, which were valued between $6,000 and $10,000 for one and $500 to $2,000 for the other. When I inquired about the delay in communication regarding the missing items, **** did not provide a response. After several months of discussions, it became evident that one of the items had been stolen from their facility, yet Goldin Auctions and **** ******** have not accepted any responsibility. Fast forward to February 2025, the stolen item appeared for sale on **** under the username CargoLargo. This item has a serial number that matches the stolen products. Upon further investigation, it seems that the user CargoLargo is selling items that were taken from Goldin Auctions. It is quite concerning that Goldin Auctions has not acknowledged the theft of customer property, especially given their involvement in handling significant sums of money in consignment.

They sell counterfeit and fake items with no verification. Be careful buying from them as they will not refund you if the item is fake. I wouldn't trust anything you have bought from them.Scam company that doesn't care about you only money

Extremely dishonest. They had an auction for a ********************* owned bat, signed by the 1991 ******************* They advertised this for a long time. They even had it on their ******* season 2. While Im winning the bid, Goldin decided to extend the bidding for another 24 hours due to the assassination attempt on ***********************. They added more time, and the bat doubled in price. Also, I planned my schedule with the buffing ending on Saturday. Moving it to Sunday didnt give me the chance to bid later. They are such a disgusting company, they decided to profit off the assassination attempt of a political candidate.

Hi ***,We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed in our decision to extend the auction window due to events that transpired. However, we adamantly deny the claim that it was for financial gain as closing an Auction past 10PM on a Sunday is not in our best interest as a company. It is typical that our items receive the most bid activity in the last hour of the auction, and the bat was projected to sell around the same amount regardless of end date. During the auction close on Sunday, the bidding worked exactly as it would on a Saturday. All customer's were able to place *** bids on an item that would only increase your bid when the item is bid on from another buyer, or, everyone had the same chance to win it in extended bidding. If you do have questions or concerns that you would still like to voice, please contact us directly at ********************************** Thank you.

My experience with Goldin Auctions has been a complete nightmare. I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated with their unprofessionalism and lack of communication. I want to share my story to warn others about the risks of doing business with this company.I submitted an item for auction in December 2023, hoping for a fair and timely sale. The auction took place in January and ended in February with a final bid of over $3,000. I expected to receive my payment shortly after, as stated in their payment terms.Unfortunately, the buyer backed out, leaving me in a difficult situation. Despite waiting until April, Goldin Auctions failed to fulfill their commitment. When I requested the return of my item, they heartlessly cited their contract and refused to honor my request. They even promised to include my item in the next auction, which turned out to be another empty promise. Now, in mid-June, I am left feeling frustrated and ignored. Goldin Auctions has ignored my numerous calls and voicemails, showing a complete lack of concern for their customers. Their actions have caused me significant financial stress and have jeopardized my plans for an upcoming wedding in October. The unprofessionalism and lack of communication from Goldin Auctions are unacceptable. As a customer, I expected transparency, prompt payments, and responsive customer service. Unfortunately, ********************** has failed to meet even the most basic expectations.I strongly advise anyone considering doing business with Goldin Auctions to think twice. Their disregard for their customers' needs and their unprofessional behavior are evident in my unfortunate experience. I hope that by sharing my story, others can avoid the frustration and disappointment that I have endured. Please be cautious and explore alternative auction houses that prioritize their customers and honor their commitments. Avoid the risks associated with dealing with Goldin Auctions.

I have sent them 2 very expensive items in December and have still not received any kind of communication or update regarding what is happening with my items. I have not even received a plan of what is going to happen. All I got was a confirmation that the items were received. When I go on to my Account there is no record of any items of mine that they have. I should have sent items to Sothebys.

Avoid Goldin. These are not real auctions. I was the only bidder on an auction. Three days after the auction closed, I received an email cancelling the sale due to "technical difficulties."

    Goldin Auctions

    Date: 01/31/2024

Hi *****,Please allow us to elaborate on the technical issue. There were duplicate items listed in auction, our team noticed and immediately removed from auction. Typically, when there are technical errors like that, the removed items go to an inactive portion of the auction. Due to a technical issue, these duplicate items such as the one you bid on stayed live through a back end part of the website were not visible from the main auction catalogue directly. This is why you were the only bid on the item, they were only viewable outside of the main catalogue. Once this was noticed, we notified the bidders and moved the item to the following auction. Four other like pairs have been sold, with all of the winners receiving their ********************* sneakers. We strive to create the best experience for both consignors and buyers alike, and hope you understand the reasoning behind our action. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused on our behalf. Thank you.
