My wife, ******* ******, had a lab test on April 12th. It was sent by Quest to the wrong insurer ******). I asked them to resubmit the claim to **** ******** of Connecticut. on June 21. This bill was in the full amount of $507.30. ******* had another lab test on June 22. Quest insisted she pay the $507.30 for the April test, which she did immediately. Since then, I have been back and forth between Quest and **** ********, trying to get the $507.30 resolved* **** ******** says that they never received the April 12th claim and Quest says they resubmitted it but refuse to give me proof. I have the entire Quest email thread if you need it; I sent the whole thread to [email protected] Please resolve and let me know if you require further documentation. Thanks!

My primary care physician ordered some routine lab work during my annual visit. One of the tests he ordered was a Vitamin D test due how I was feeling. All of the lab work was submitted to my insurance (****) and all was paid with the exception of the Vit D test. Insurance said that the wrong code was used to bill the test. I had my PCP resubmit the correct codes. I received a subsequent bill from Quest and once again reached out to Quest. I was told I needed a letter of medical necessity from my PCP. I had my PCP submit a letter of medical necessity. I was told by the Quest representative that they would place my account on hold until this was resolved, since Quest had already been paid for all the other tests by my insurance. After 3 months, I received a letter from a collection agency for $240 (the fully billed charges for that test). I reached out to Quest and was told that my account was sold to a collection agency and there was nothing I could do about it.

I keep receiving email and text messages from the provider that I owe them money. However I have not received a bill to review this. I have never given this company my approval to contact me through email or text. Now they are texting me threatening to influence my credit, yet still have not actually sent me a bill. I do not respond to emails or texts asking me to click a link and enter my credit card number. This is probably legitimate, but the way they are requesting payment is in line with scams. I cannot validate that it is legitimate if I have not received a bill.
