    Ron G***** from Guardian Contracting came out to my mother's estate to remove asbestos in the basement prior to the home selling. They completed the job, he sent me photos, and I paid him per his request, via Cash app as he said it was Christmas time and he wanted to pay his guys so they would have some pocket money. I have receipts and all was well until I received a phone call from Nick Fernicola a few days ago inquiring about payment. I told him I already paid and he said he never got his money and that Ron was just a "middle man"/"salesman" for them and that he sells the jobs and then gets a commission from Guardian. Ron represented himself as a full employee in that he had a sign with the Guardian Contracting name and license number on the side of the house. Now, Nick is holding my paperwork hostage and refuses to send it to me until he is paid. It is not fault that someone who admittedly works with ran off with his payment. Even after my real estate lawyer requested the paperwork he still refuses to send it to me.
