I work for a local towing company. I recently received a call from this company looking for flat tire service, it was late at night and told them our price and what our goa would be. they told me that they would call me back once they had approval. hour goes by and I haven't heard from them, phone rings it the customer who waiting for the service gives me details and tell them that I have said yes to the job and am waiting for approval from their roadside. they proceed to tell me they have already paid the road side a lot of money already and that they told them that I could come until 10 am to do the job because I got inundated with RCMP calls. this is not true at all I never told this company that at all. we ended up going to job and doing it for free beacuse we felt bad they got scammed.

Safer Road Rescue promises 1 hours but makes you wait 3 to 4 hours using every excuse in the book. You will need rescue from the trap of doing business with them. Most of the other reviews I have read are much like my experience which was a complete f***ing NIGHTMARE, the worst experience imaginable for double the price and double the trouble than you would have dealing with any other tow service on the planet. First, they are con artists. Look at the other reviews and the similarities. At 4:50 AM Sunday morning I urgently needed a tow as my car was damaged on a main street so when they told me ir would be $260 to tow my car 1 mile (crazy) I agreed to pay just to get my car out of the roadway. An hour later they call back to tell the the driver was in an accident. They had to send another driver who had to come from further away so I had to pay $65 more for gas. Now we are at $325. It is now 8:15 am, over 3 hours later and STILL NO DRIVER! I have been calling for an update every 25 minutes and was assured the second driver I paid $65 extra for was almost here, almost here and now that the second driver is over another late they told me he quit!!!! He drove all the way here and quit right before he got to me??? They are now sending a third driver which will be another 35 minutes because he is local BUT I cant get a refund on the $65 extra I paid for the second driver that quit because he was through a sister company and they have to pay them no matter what therefore no refunds. I asked if I could get a refund for the whole thing and just cancel since going on 4 hours later I still dont have a f***ing tow and they said no, administrative feels etc. no refunds and rushed me off the phone. My only choice is to wait for a 3rd driver who will most likely befall some tragic event like the last 2 because *** already paid them, no refunds and here I still sit, stuck. ****** should be liable for accepting $ for paid promotions for this company

Sunday March 17th, I locked my keys in my Jeep in my driveway. I called a local shop for a tow truck and got through to Safer Road Rescue. I arranged for a lockout service that would arrive in 30 to 60 minutes for $170 on my credit card. At 3pm I got a call that the truck had been cancelled because it had encounter some kind of breakdown itself. I was told the other two tow trucks with the company were on a long distance tow and were not available. I was given three options over the phone: 1 - cancel the lockout service and be refunded $152 and still have to pay the booking fee or something. 2 - SRR would call a 3rd party to assist me but it would take 5 hours and I would have to pay an another $232 on top of what I had already paid 3 - I wait til 10am and SRR will come unlock my Jeep then. None of these options would make me whole and 2 would even cost more for a worse arrangement than I had paid for. At this point my card had already been charged. I chose option 3 but requested a partial refund. After asking for that to be brought to the manager on duty I was denied. At 10:02am THE NEXT DAY I receive a call from SRR. lying that they had tried to call me that morning but since they couldnt get a hold of me they cancelled my call. This was a lie. There was no attempt to call me. I asked for a call log to prove this and was denied. At the same time this person told me that because they "couldn't reach me" the truck had not been dispatched. He said it would arrive in 25 minutes (approx. 1030). I called again at 1018 to talk to management about all of the above. Over the phone I was told it would be 25 minutes more. They finally arrived at 2pm. The supposed reason for delay was a broken down tow truck but you don't need a tow truck for this. They could have sent a car. I complained over the phone and in writing to SRR but they did not record my complaint and closed my file falsely. They repeatedly called me for a review further proving their attempt to bury this.

Last night, (December 21st, 2023), I met my niece Kiaya, at the Greek Isles for dinner in **********. We got there at 4:15 and left at about 5:40. We were going to head over to meet with my sister-in-law, ****. I only drove about 2 blocks and I realized something was wrong with my truck. I put my 4-way flashers on and jumped out of the truck to check to see what was wrong. Somebody had slashed my front drivers tire while I was at the restaurant. So I phoned the police and gave them a report which they were really nice to me, but he said to get a towing company to get me off the road (which was a major thoroughfare-people were driving like maniacs). So I looked up a towing company and got a company named Safer Road Rescue, who told me they could come and get me, but it would take 60 to 90 minutes. I also had to pay before they would come which I was not happy doing as it was $586.95. So I waited for the 90 minutes and then called them to find out what the *** was. Well I was told she would call the tow truck driver to find out the *** and call me back in 10 minutes. After 20 minutes, I called them again. They said their truck had broken down and they didnt know what they could do for me. I said that I wanted a total refund of my money. They proceeded to tell me that they would refund me $567.95 as it would cost a fee of $19.00 for the cancellation. By then I was totally frustrated with them. I told them I would try to find another company. So I called AJ Towing and talked to a really nice lady named ***. She told me that Safe (Safer Road Rescue), had called them and *** gave them a quote $340.00 to come and get me. So I proceeded to book AJ Towing. They said approximately 20 minutes. So then I called Safer Road Rescue and cancelled my call and to totally refund my money and that they were scam artists. The lady then told me I would be refunded $557.95 because it would cost me now $29.00 for the cancellation. I totally lost it with this lady. I just finally hung up on her. I will have to call the credit back on the 27th of this month and dispute Safer Road Rescues charge. So I will totally tell you do not deal with Safer Road Rescue as they are just there to jerk you around and get your money from you and then they tell you that their truck broke down so they cant help you.

I worked at Safer Road Rescue(SSR) for a year I'll explain how it works, 1st They change the names of local businesses and edit the phone numbers so when you call you are redirected to them. They don't have a physical office and when you ask their location they will say downtown but at the moment due to COVID guidelines were working remotely. their call agents and dispatch are located in *************** and *****. these agents go through 1 week of training on how the ************* **************** work and the only tools they have are RingCentral which is used to make calls, Workiz to take your info, and ****** maps. the company is owned by an ******* guy called Avraham and her close 2nd called ******. then they have managers who give quotations. the managers are really secretive and you won't find their names online but lucky for you I managed to find one of them (***************************************). when you call SSR for assistance they will give you a higher fee than what you would get charged by the locals, then they will call the towing companies near your location and get a quote from them, the main reasons why most people here say they waited for hours is because they have to get a cheaper quote from what the customer paid for the service, they're basically middlemen. sometimes they would call towing companies 50 miles away for the tow and wouldn't care how late you are but they have to profit.. I have screenshots to confirm every single thing I said is true because I used to work for them. I'm in a 3rd world country and had to feed my family, every day I worked there I felt anxious and sick till I resigned. it wasn't worth it in the end since I had at least 1 call a day of someone crying for me to help them when I couldn't since we took all their money and they paid the agents $2.8 an hour. I have a lot to say if you need help stopping them I'll be checking the posts here

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Safe Road Rescue (SRR) for their unethical and potentially illegal business practices that I, along with many others based on my research, have been a victim of.Incident Overview Date of Service: September 7th, 2023 Initial Agreement: SRR charged me an upfront fee of $212.75 for towing my vehicle from the intersection of ************. and ***********. in *******, promising an arrival within 45 minutes.Failed Service: After a wait of 3 hours and numerous follow-up calls, SRR failed to deliver the service.Substitute Service: I had to engage another towing service, ********** ******* **, which arrived within 20 minutes and charged me $224.25.Issue with Cancellation and Refund Upon contacting SRR to request a cancellation and refund due to their failure to provide the promised service, they refused outright. On a subsequent call the next day, they claimed they would partially reimburse me but charge "administrative fees." Throughout this process, their transaction status went from pending to posted on my credit card, making it clear they had no intention of refunding the amount.Successful Chargeback via ******************* Fortunately, I was able to get my money back by disputing the charge with my credit card company, which is currently investigating the case. I am also worried about the potential misuse of my personal information as SRR has my credit card and driver's license details.Additional Findings I also called multiple towing companies in Halifax and discovered that none of them charge upfront fees for their services. This led me to believe that SRR's upfront charging policy is designed as a scam, making it difficult for customers to get refunds, corroborated by similar complaints on your website.

They had an address and phone number that made them look local. I called them because my son was in a wreck. They gave me a price of ******. They said I needed to pay upfront and give them my DL number. I was in distress and did so. They said the driver would be there in ***** minutes. An hour later and I called them and they claimed they could not get ahold of the driver. The cops on scene stated they use A-1 towing which is who I thought I had called and they called them and they said they had not been notified. I then asked for the tow to be canceled and get my money back. They said they would charge a ***** processing fee. I told them absolutely not and I would dispute the charge on my CC. They then said they would not charge it but the refund would take 3-5 days and they could not give me a reference number for the cancellation. I am currently working with my CC company on this. When the real towing company got there they only charged me $205.I am now concerned for my personal identity being used since they have my DL and name and CC info and signature on file.

Just awful experience with this company. I called them after hours after my car broke down in not so good part of down. I had given them the address of where I was stuck and they told me ***** min after chatting with their driver. It then became an hour later and I called and they said it would take another ********************************************************************************* a call from my tow truck driver and its 12:15am at this point. I called every 15 minute because they keep telling me to call them back in 15 if the driver is not there and this goes on 4 times. They then connect me to the dispatcher who is coordinating with the driver and as Im explaining my frustration to him he says I dont care and its not my problem. As a person who was waiting for 2.5 hours in the dark in a not safe place this was the last thing I should be told. Then the two truck driver shows up but misses our street and then keeps going up and down on the street next to us because apparently they had given him the wrong address. He finally arrives at 1:05am and gets us home. The driver himself was very nice but I will never be using this service again. I called to complain and they told me they will call me back and no one has yet to call me in a few days. They definitely have one of the worst customer service models I have see . DO NOT RECOMMEND

I was connected to this company for roadside assistance after USAA was unable to find a tow service "in network". They pulled the same c*** with me as other complaints about the tow truck breaking down and needing to charge me more than the initial charge of $245 to use their sister company. Absolute scam. Talked to 4 different people who kept telling me the same BS about the driver not picking up but that they were on the way. When I asked if they were local they told me yes but would not give me an address. They also pronounced the name of my town wrong. They also go by the name **************** services" and "24 hour roadside"there is a special place in h*** for these con artists.
