DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY I got my adopted dog microchiped 17 years ago and the company that was in charge sold to HomeAgain and that company started reoccurring payments annually for service. No problem, I paid for the service. When my dog passed, I got an email that my membership was about to renew, however there is no way to report a pet deceased on the website. I called the customer service line and the prompts lead me to 'report a pet has died.' They asked me to spell my name, give my pet's name, give her microchip number, give my email address and phone number and then they give you TEN SECONDS to give that info before they disconnect your call. Otherwise, you can't cancel your membership. I had to lie and say that I was a vet to be able to speak to a really human who then (supposedly) cancel my membership. This business is truly awful and greedy, do not support them EVER. I would give zero stars if I could.Review from Liz S

HOMEAGAIN - My pet died before the subscription went into affect. I was denied a refund because I had paid by check. The company, apparently, has no way to refund if you pay by check even though it is listed as a payment option. Unbelievable.Review from Ann Z

Very disturbing to read about the Home Again company. Also disturbing to witness my ******************* promoting this company. Why hasnt something been done about this company. Within the past 60 days after receiving harassing emails, I sent my annual membership. Im confused what are we paying for.Review from DARRYL M

Its run by a bunch of space occupiers. Registered another pet, and cannot sign into my account. Called back 3x to end up speaking with a Supervisor named ******. **** POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE HELP AND NO RESULTS. Low expectation for any recovery of a pet.Review from Joni M

I would give zero stars if possible. We were signed up for Home Again by our vet after our cats microchipping. I briefly visited the website where it is implied that you must pay for an account to be able to use the microchip. That is false. I had started checking out but then googled the topic and realized I did not need a paid account. I never completed the check out but briefly had input my credit card (never hit save or check out or anything). I never even received any kind of confirmation email of the charge. My online account does not list the charge (I work in tech and am tech savvy so this isnt user error). I reached out to support and they emailed back only saying they would issue the refund but I need to I kid you not add a credit card back onto my account. I ended up calling their support line and they told me it mustve been an accidental charge and that they would issue a refund on the next billing cycle after confirming my card details. Why the wait? Any other refund Ive been given is usually received within a week. Its super scetchy. Since that call Ive now received the same email from them asking to input my credit card into saved payment methods for the refund. Weve decided just to contest the charge with our bank as its going to be easier. I saw there was a potential class action against this company at one point (false advertising - which is definitely true!) I would be all in for a class action against these crooks. I really cant believe they are still able to get away with scams like thisReview from Charis B

Let than one star I'd leave. My pet has been microchiped with home again. I'm leaving the country and need additional help and having online issues. Been calling and emailing now for two weeks nonone answers the phone when you leave a message no one calls back. No one emails and this is a all hands on deck company that's dealing with documentation of animals and owners. This is as unacceptable as I've ever seen. I emailed and said I was going to the bcc in three days if I didn't recieve any correspondence and of course nothing. Horrible service.Review from Greg C

June 12,2023 I had a pet microchipped at the local Vet and they use Home Again. I currently have an account with another pet for 9 years. I tried to add the current pet's chip number and get an error that no chip is registered. After many attempts to speak with someone I finally got a human on the line and she explained a new account was made and she would have it fixed. Two weeks later and still not fixed and emails not answered and never return calls. Seeing the reviews it indicates they have serious issues. I will be advising my Vet that they should look into a different company and I will be looking also. If you can't fix simple accounting and answer customer issues, how are you going to help find a pet.Review from Anita M

2019 I purchased a HomeAgain chip through my vet for a new puppy. She's now 4 years old, the last 4 years they refuse to register the chip unless I pay them for their membership. I've tried to get this settled 12 times. Each time I'm that I have to pay for them to register the number. Tonight they told me to go register it with a different company. I explained that I purchased their chip & want them to do their job. (it is register with a couple of sites.). HomeAgain tried to say that I didn't pay for the chip I paid for it to be inserted. I spoke with the vet to confirm what was pd for so I know for fact that day I paid for vaccines, the chip, an office visit office. The insertion was covered just like the vaccines, I don't get free vaccines and just pay for the vet to insert the syringe. According to the vet they $25. was the cost of the chip initial registration & the insertion. I was told today that they are no longer providing HomeAgain chips. This vet is a nationwide clinic & because of all the issues across the US between ************************************ all stemming from registrations, to forcing memberships/renewals, refunds, website and autopay over pay. Over the years I've had pets with Avivd ID, AKC, *********** Buddy ***** ******** to name a few, Not one of these have ever tried to charge me to register the chip. They have all wanted me to join their membership which of course does cost. 2011 I adopted a cat from a shelter for my niece. They also inserted a HomeAgain chip. HomeAgain tried to do the same back then. Thank goodness I called the shelter manager and explained to them what HomeAgain was trying to do. They handled the problem with HomeAgain for me and the cat was registered by the end of the week. Unfortunately when my niece passed and brother tried to registered the cat to him HomeAgain listed the cat as deceased.
