We lived at Telegraph Hill Apartments (**** ********* **** ** *********** *****) from September 2022 to October 2023. Our lease ending on September 30, 2023. We turned in our keys on October 30th. The renters law states that your security deposit statement must be returned to you within 30 days of vacating or the end of your lease. So our security deposit must have been post marked by November 29th. Today is December 27th. I have yet to receive the statement or our refund. Per the state law if the security deposit isn't sent to you within 30 days the company forfeits the entire deposit so I want my entire security deposit back. and I want it sent to me via *** ** or *** with a tracking number. I have been in contact with Telegraph Hill and they keep giving me the run around saying they have to check with accounting (from their parent company) and they keep asking me to verify my forwarding address. I have verified Telegraph Hill has the correct forwarding address. They are breaking the law!! I have tried to call their parent company ***, and the phone number on ****** is not right. They are a complete scam and are stealing money from their tenants. THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!!

I have not received my Security Deposit from Telegraph Hill Apartments plus other funds that were owed to me. It has been over 4 months since I moved out on June 11, 2022. I have been attempting to reach the property managers and they have been unresponsive for any and all email, phone, voicemail messages. When I have went to the office in person, the staff including managers have been completely rude and unprofessional. Specifically, Property Mgr. Lauren’s lack of responsiveness is unacceptable. She says that she will check in with the accounting department when I have spoken to her and I have never received a follow up letter after I moved out and I never still have not received any information about my security deposit and pro-rated return. Most recently, Marina was an office staff present one day we stopped by to address my security deposit and other fees, she was completely inappropriate and gave us a fake phone number for Lauren. We sat in the lobby and called the number when we learned it wasn’t a real number. She was dismissive and never followed through with trying to get a manager on the phone. She said all of the managers were in a meeting and she could not reach anyone. This apartment property/management has many other issues, including staff turnover, rude/unprofessional office staff/leaders, entered my apartment with no notice, lack of responsiveness, major plumbing issues where as a tenant I went without hot water for weeks and frequent plumbing issues. I would like yo file a formal complaint and will pursue legal action as well because of the hardship and stress this has caused me. Because my rent was raised significantly with no notice, very poor communication and no choice since I could not afford it due to inflation, I depended on my security deposit and prorated fees that were owed to me in order to find a new place to live. I am on a fixed income and have been unable to afford to move into another apartment because I depended on this money.
