This should be a -1 star. Rude, unprofessional person. Never left the doorway, to come into the room. Shrieking at me, from doorway I was not examined at all. I ended up leaving without any services. Someone handed me a prescription. Maybe she wanted some proof, that I had been there. It was something I had already been using. I could go on for an hour. The tiny waiting room, was completely filled. Shes the only provider. I felt sorry, for them. This experience, for me, was traumatic. Wished I could stop her being paid.Review from Amanda M

I was also referred to you by my PCP and signed a ROI (now revoked) to view my medical records. Calling me a liar is outrageous and completely uncalled for. The medication she was trying to prescribe me has a big giant warning on the pamphlet for patients with my medical history (which I see is on the form I took a screenshot of prior to the appointment). I refused the medication, then this provider snarked that shes not going to force me to take meds, but later recanted when I pointed out the issue. A different prescription was given, which I never filled because I do not trust this provider what so ever and decided to go somewhere that offers more professionalism and empathy for its patients. Your model of arguing with customers seems to be common and just downright disgusting.Prior review:Went here for a skin condition, and I was greeted by friendly staff and the anxieties of my experience were addressed.But, when the doc came in, she immediately started prescribing medications without (apparently) looking at my medical history. Some of the prescriptions she was trying to prescribe me were not compatible with my other prescriptions. I only knew this because I happen to work in the medical field, but if a laymen were to be in that office, I cant imagine the interactions.Please double check all your prescriptions with either your pharmacist or your primary care physician. Dont trust this doctor in her word alone.Review from John S

This is important before picking this doctor. They do not respect your time. Dr. ****** is a very difficult doctor to work with. She will not discuss treatment options with you, and will not listen to concerns. She prescribed me multiple medications I specifically asked to not have, and provided samples of products she even admits are not the best course of action. You will not get a word in edgewise and will not have treatments explained to you. You have to wait hours after your scheduled appointment time if they have over booked. Their reasoning at first was "COVID" now their reason is the "Flu" for these wait times. They have an unspoken 15 minute early policy, and if you arrive on your scheduled appointment time you are are considered late. You will have to reschedule for being "late" and either will have to wait for a walk in time or pay a $25 rescheduling fee. I implore you to not go to her. Would give NO STARS but this is where our insurance coverage sent my husband. Bad experiences all the way around. ***** was very rude to my husband and each time he had an appointment, he asked if she could check a few more spots and also a full body scan. Nope! He was told to make another appointment . I have noted other complaints about this same issue. Too many other complaints to list here.Review from Savannah O

Tried posting n ****** but my review was deleted. ***** commented on my original review with something about changing my name and incompetent employees. The only seemingly incompetent employee is her. Original review:Came on here to write a review and was shocked at how this business is rudely replying to others making reviews. At this point is seems criticism is something they dont take well. I can understand a business defending themselves but when their is multiple complaints of the same thing, a business should question if they are the problem. Wouldnt recommend this place as the care received is questionable.Review from Debra S

Actually ******************, YOU were the bully. I put an end of your abuse and you did not like it: The person who was calling you 10 seconds later was a medical assistant who was trying to give you an update. Stop playing the victim here. You were rude and the error was not our fault, it was the pharmacy. We do not tolerate abusive behavior in any manner and it was the practice that discharged you!Review from Michelle K

I had the worst experience ever. **************** was very unprofessional and refused to see me when I asked her to perform my appointment in the room for privacy my HIPPA right, she refused stating that she was in HIPPA compliance as she stood outside the exam room in the open hallway asking me questions about my reason for being seen. She became very defensive and stated she did not have to treat me as a patient. When I asked her to proceed with the visit she accused me of being combative and refused to treat me. The office had signs and instructions that masks where to be worn yet she herself had her mask on under her chin and said that is why she was performing the appointment in the hallway so she could be 6 feet away from me. All this after I waited over an hour to be seen and was told I would be the second patient to be seen. But other patients were taken back before me. The waiting area was full of patients waiting to be seen. I showed up for the appointment 30 minutes early as instructed and waited another hour from my appointment time to be seen. When I went to the counter to ask for an estimate of how much longer I would have to wait I was told that they had an hour to take me back and that they don't do it by appointment time but rather how you sign in. Which was odd since I was the second patient to sign in. I left the office in total shock and could not believe that I was treated so unprofessionally. I'm checking one star only because I have to. DrShelby is the most unprofessional person *** had the displeasure to have to deal with. My son was her patient and she was the worst. We could never get his prescription filled and our appointment was never on time. After speaking with the staff numerous times about filling the prescription ****** had the nerve to call my cell and yell at me saying I was being aggressive with her staff. Total lie. I couldnt believe she gad the nerve to call my phone and scold me like I was a child so I hung up on her. Not ten seconds later my phone rang again and it was her number calling back and I again just hung up. I read all her reviews and it seems the majority of them are like mine and deal with her unprofessional character. Personally Id think shes a bully.Review from Franck G

Zero stars, if I could.Awards for rudeness and unresponsiveness.I was charged $110.00 just for walking in.Then $81.00 to cut a large portion of skin, without a word of explanation.Then a further $122.00 for the biopsy.Then they had a company in ******* send the bill, adding to the billing expense process.A ripoff, considering the poor service and charging $313.00.When I arrived, there was NO RECORD of my appointment. I waited close to an hour to see ****************, who was not exactly friendly. I was due for full-body skin inspection for possible melanomas, but she did not use a dermatoscope and the whole body inspection simply did not happen. The whole body inspection, which should take place once a year, did not happen.She found a solar lentigo and prepared to shave my skin off without consulting with me. *************** should have taken the time to explain what she discovered and why cutting off a large chunk of my skin was necessary - she did not.Something was amiss on the human-to-human side of things. Patients are people, not cattle.I then learned that I was responsible to call and find out about the biopsy results, which is a departure from my former dermatologists. Distinctly Derm does not bother reaching out to patients after such procedures.Over a course of 3 weeks, I called 4 times and left messages that no one bothered answering. After the 4th call, someone emailed me the biopsy results. Since I could not understand the medical lingo and since Distinctly Derm was so unfriendly/unhelpful, I was left to use ****** Search what the diagnosis meant.I have had much more helpful staff and friendlier dermatologists before. I will not return to Distinctly Derm.Review from Mark C

Would recommend you look for a different service provider. Had an appointment today and when I arrived they provided me an old invoice that they wanted to be paid before they would allow me to see the doctor. The invoice had an incorrect address so I never received it. I asked them if I could take this and check against my records and they were insistent on payment. I remained firm that I was not going to pay the invoice till I had a chance to review it and they called ******* to get permission for me to see the doctor without paying their invoice. Over an hour later, I still was waiting to see the doctor so I left the practice. Turns out the invoice they wanted me to pay was wrong and had not credited a previous payment correctly.Called a different service provider and have an appointment in 6 weeks.
