    I was informed monthly service would be $455.25 for grounds maintenance twice a month without any commitment and able to cancel any anytime. Included when signing up for their service is yearly weed control and water irrigation audit. I paid in full for July 2023. They made an unscheduled visit in early August. Therefore, I canceled the service 8/9/23 and paid for half the month. I emailed ***** ****** their manager/representative and informed I made three payments for three visits. I was never told I still had to pay the rest of the month and never told to reschedule another service for the remaining month if I still have to pay for the remaining month. I was sent recurring bills for September therefore I informed the company and they sent a new bill of $227.62 owed for August. I was told I will be sent to collections if not paid. There was never a second yard service for the month of August completed. Therefore they need to come out to complete the job and I will pay them, or we are settled.

    This company sent me a new bill 9/22/23 for a job they did not finish (yard service) for the month of August. They sent me to collections the same day they sent the bill 9/22/23. I had already made a payment 9/27/23 to settle and be done with their threats regardless of the job being incomplete. I received a letter in the mail today from collections for an unpaid debt. Again already paid. They should be paying me for an unfinished job.

    Good Morning - 
    This is ***** ********, Director of Operations for Red Shovel Landscape.  This is the response to a Complaint received from ***** *******.  The client file with Red Shovel Landscape has been closed, as well as the case with the collection agency.  According to our notes and in having a conversation, with the Client Rep. and our Billing department, this is more of an issue in communication rather than anything else.  *** ***** was made aware from the beginning that her monthly bill was determined by adding several different services and dividing by twelve.  This in no way was ever presented as a pay-as-you-go for maintenance service.  
    The service that *** ******* signed up for included bi-weekly maintenance, weed control for the year, and an irrigation audit.  In order to make this cost-effective for our clients we divide it by twelve, and bill it monthly.  The service we provide is all front-loaded in the year.  We do this in order to make sure our clients' properties are looking as good as possible and in doing so are able to manage the time frame at the property. 
    Technically, because we front load these services *** ******* received a year's worth of services for a fraction of the price being that she canceled her services 2 months into the year.  Again, according to the notes in the file, this was explained several times.  
    Hopefully, this helps provide insight and understanding into the case *** ******* has filed a complaint about.
