I filled a complain about the problem the last year around October, Yellow Bird came few times, but never fixed our leak in our cooling system, they installed our full solar, furnace, cooling system in 3/8/2022, we were able to use our system after 3 fell inspections in May 2022, on sept 22 2022 the system stop cooling, they came and refilled the coolant. In May 2023 we started using the system, in June it stopped cooling they came July 1 st and suspected a leak in the system, they suggested a service agreement for 635.68 dollars, witch we signed up for and they charged us $89 for a coolant refill as well. Told us the warranty was up and it would cost $1500 in labor to find the leak but didn’t come back in a month to check. The end of sept it stopped cooling again and they came oct 2 2023 and said the pipe was frozen they couldn’t work on the system a that time, they came and refilled the system on oct 4 th 2023 and pressure us to pay the $1500 to find the leak and it’s when I filled the complain with better business bureau. After they came but we didn’t need the system for the fall month so nothing couldn’t be done. I called the Yellow bird number this morning ,today the 20th of may, to hear that Yellow Bird was out of business since January. We are left without any answer and with the new system not working properly due to Yellow Bird’s lack of good serviceInitial Complaint

In June of 2023 we decided to convert our home to central air conditioning with Yellow Bird in Las Cruces, NM. We signed a contract and are paying over $10,000 for our new unit. Well not even a year later and the business closed! No prior warning, no courtesy whatsoever to let us know they will no longer be in business. They did not turn over our contract to any other company and now we are stuck paying this bill with no company to come service our unit or turn to for service, that was under warranty according to the contract we have. The job was still needing a few things done, such as making ventilation holes where our furnace is and fixing the siding that they just taped up “in the meantime” from where the technician cut the cover the wrong length.Initial Complaint

The original date of service is June 4th of 2020, almost every summer and winter the unit has broken down and have been charged. The most recent one was December 9th of 2023. I woke up to the unit not working and my house being freezing cold. When I called over the weekend to let them know they said they could go but a service fee would be charged of $150 if not that we could call back during business hours. December 11th they arrived and after checking the unit they found that the control panels were burnt. The parts were on back order and unless we called they would not update us on the situation. Finally on January 30th of 2024 they came to install them and the technician said that the thermostat was also burnt, the technician went out to a local hardware store and bought a manual thermostat until they get the correct one(which I was billed for). The unit partially worked, the auxiliary doesn't turn on when the temperature drops to about 37 degrees. I have to turn it on manually on time in order for it to continue heating. I have had to use space heaters most of the winter to keep my house some what warm. On February 15th of 2024 I was told somebody was going to get into the thermostat to find out what was going on with the auxiliary but to the date it has not happened. So far I have had an electricity bill close to $700 due to it not being fixed. When the tech comes they start to resolve it but we have to be calling the office to get them to continue. The Account # is my name and my physical Address 5290 S Columbus Deming, NM 88030 with them is. At this point since I did have to finance it I would like for the unit to be exchanged, I feel like this one was a bad one and instead of them owning up to it they keep temporarily fixing it.Initial Complaint

Apparently this business has gone out of business. I bought a solar system from them at the end of 2022. I have had challenges with getting what they promised in my contract including tax credits and service from them before. I had a system outage that they took 2 months to respond to before they fixed it. Lately I heard they could not be contacted. I tried the numbers on their website and other numbers I had that worked before, including a personal cell phone of someone that had proven to be helpful. None of these numbers worked. I called your BBB and found out that the state has shut them down. They advertised that they were A+ rated with the BBB on their website and in their litature. I can't even find them listed on your site now. I don't currently have a system problem but am worried about who to contact if I do. Who supports the warranty. I do not see anything in my warranty info about another company to cover the warranty. HelpInitial Complaint

I contacted this company to install a geothermal a/c, heating and solar panels back in December of 2022. Once I agreed to release funds from the finance company, the communication with this company dissolved. It’s been a year of biweekly calls from me to find out when this project will ever be finished. I either receive no answer or excuses as to why the project manager isn’t doing their job. I’ve visited their office in person to complain and spoke with their CEO who insured me it would get finished back in June of 2023 but minimal progress has been made since then. On multiple occasions I’ve contacted inspectors as well as the local electrical company to verify whether Yellowbird Services has contacted them to proceed with the project only to find out they haven’t. When I’ve brought it up over the phone they lie and state that they’re waiting on these 3rd party entities to move forward. The latest electrical inspection failed and I’m waiting for them to fix the issue to have it reinspected. I’m currently making monthly payments on the $35,000 loan for this project that at this point doubt may ever get finished. So far they’ve installed the a/c and furnace but still need to install the solar panels and finish the electrical upgrades to the house. I’ve had more than enough patience with them but over a year of installation is beyond unacceptable for a HVAC company.Initial Complaint

see attached On June of 2022, I signed a contract for purchase of a solar system from Yellow Bird Heating and Cooling. Acceptance of contract was based on sales of product, refunds offered by the sales representatives, negative issues versus positive issues. Refunds were includede in contract and so stated by both sale representatives. NO such thing. They were refusing to refund the amount promised. Federal refund $8,439.28 state refund $3,172.28. Breach of contract. They refuse to fix the AC which is ineffective.Initial Complaint

Back on 09/2022, I was told that my service would be completed in less than 3 months, It has been almost a year, I keep calling every 2 weeks to ask for an update on the status, they keep saying that they will call me back with an update, they never call back, they just state that the City inspector found issues that need to be solved, they have not solved any of the issues on the list. When I agreed to their service, i was told that I was going to get a 14,000 dollar Federal Tax Refund, I tried to claim that when I filed my Taxes, the TAX preparer said it is a lie, they lie to get customers, they asked me to let the finance company know that the service was completed so that they could release the funds ($50,000 dollars) so they could install AC, Furnace and Solar Panels, I was told that they were going to reimburse me all the payments I make to the Finance company till they finish the service, I have paid so far $1258.38 (and still paying for a service that has not been completed) I am here now Paying El paso Electric in Full, because the solar panels are not working and to Service Finance. Besides finishing the Job I am requesting a reimbursement of what I have paid and also the amount that I agreed to was 34,000 not the 50,000 of the loan that I am paying for.Initial Complaint

I paid Yellow Bird 9,000 to install a 5ton HVAC in Feb. And it is still not fully installed 6 months later. They refuse to finish, call, or answer my calls or return them. I even personally to the office and they had doors locked but a worker was able to get me in. I have codes not cleated and my electrical pole is dug with huge hole because an electrician has not cleared their work. I dont have a final receipt and warranty the unit. I am done so please help! It will be winter soon and we have no heater. ***** *. *********** ###-###-####
