I canceled my membership on January 13, 2021 and Massage Heights continued to bill me. When I called to request a refund, I was told I would receive a call back from the manager. Instead of calling me back, they canceled my account effective 2/16/22 and only refunded 2 months of the overcharges. Because they canceled it without contacting me, I have lost $1,140 in services not rendered. I was told I would have to reactivate the account to use said massages, which I never consented to being charged for in the first place. They claim they cannot find the cancelation form I signed, and of course I was not provided with a copy when I canceled. They have also been fraudulently charging another of my credit cards because they created an account under my husband's name. He is not an authorized user on that credit card and did not sign up for services as he is a disabled veteran and isn't medically capable of receiving a massage. The only reason they had his name was because I paid for a 60 minute chair massage to see if he could handle them, and the card they're charging is the one he paid the masseuse's tip on. He couldn't sit for the entire hour, so he clearly had no reason to sign up for monthly massages, let alone on a credit card account that doesn't belong to him. I went in today, 4/6/22, to try and get this fixed, and all they offered was "freezing" my husband's account to give us 3 months to use 19 massages he didn't authorize. So now I have approximately 25 hour massages I didn't authorize to be charged, half of which I can't use, and they refuse to refund them. Total cost is $1,980. Considering their business practices are shady and there are multiple complains about the company, I will be seeking legal recourse if they don't choose to do the right thing and refund me the charges. The spa manager wouldn't even come out to talk to me when she was the one that canceled my account without calling me, making her assistant handle it.
