The office is attempting to collect more than the quoted fee. When I originally made an appointment for a swollen eyelid, I was told that they did not accept my insurance and I would have to pay as a cash patient. I was quoted the 'cash fee', and confirmed that fee with a second ******** prior to making the appointment. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, a third ******** also advised me again that they did not take my insurance and I would have to pay the 'cash fee' of $105.00. I paid the $105.00 prior to being seen. Nothing more was collected from me after the appointment. The appointment with the physician consisted only of an examination of the swollen eyelid which he diagnosed as a chalazion. There was no dilation, no refraction, and no other services rendered.Shortly after, I received a bill for $100. I have made multiple calls to the billing department and was repeated told that I would get a call back from a supervisor. Finally on 1/8/25, one of the people in the billing department gave me a different number to call.I called *************) and spoke to 'Aricelli' who explained that I was given a discount but that there was no written evidence that I was quoted a specific fee, and that she was not going to correct the account.I think it is clear that since they collected the 'cash fee' of $105 at the time of service, that serves as evidence that I was quoted that fee.I would like the appropriate billing adjustment made to correct the account.Initial Complaint

On September 18, 2024 I went to Nevada Eye Physicians for a routine eye exam (no contact lenses). I do not have vision insurance and so paid in full before the service. After my prior visit I had gotten a bill requesting further payment and I did not want this to happen again. I was assurred that $150 was the price. But I again received a bill for an additional amount. It was only $5 but I'm not interested in paying any more for the service. I called to find out why I had been charged extra and to have the charge removed. They told me that the doctor had entered a different code than the receptionist used. This makes no sense; it was a routine exam with nothing extra.I've just recieved another bill, and an additional $50 has been added for some other service. I would appreciate any help in removing these fraudulent charges. Thank you,*****Initial Complaint

I was seen by Nevada eye physicians on 6/24/24. I am a self pay customer and I was told the cost for an eye exam will be $111 over the phone. When I went in person I was told again it costs $111 for my exam and I paid that before I was seen. I received an eye exam and nothing else. No addition testing was done and nothing else was given to me A month later I was sent a bill for $46. That is a whopping 41% extra from the agreed upon amount. My husband went around the same time and had exactly the same experience with no explanation. The business had offered no reason as to why this happened. They have offered no resolution besides me paying them. I've called and talked to 3 different people who can't explain the issue or offer a resolution. I believe this is a fraud and they are taking advantage of people. It should be against the law to charge an addition amount that big without any reason or explanation at all. They know that people have to pay this amount or be forced into collections.Initial Complaint

I had a medical procedure done at this facility. The claim was not properly handled by ************. I paid $950 for the treatment finding out afterwards from my insurance (BCBS) that Im fully covered and did not need to pay anything/the deductible. ******** spoke to the billing department (Danenna as well as another lady but didnt get her name) on several occasions & each time were told that the $758 refund was under review and should see it within 7-10 business days. Then on my final call I was told it can actually take 4 weeks. It has been 5 weeks now and Im still getting the run around and no refund. So NV Eye Physicians have been double paid, by me and by my insurance. I want my money back especially when I wasnt even supposed to pay!! I have pictures of my claim being paid as well as a receipt of my payment. This procedure was months ago. Please help me!!Initial Complaint

Date of service: 4-29-24 Completed and paid deductible for eye exam then was sent to the optical department to obtain lenses. I was told what my portion of the cost of lenses only would be and paid that amount ($59.59).I subsequently received a bill for $573, called the office and was told to ignore it since they hadn't received the insurance portion as yet. I then received another bill on 6-30 showing no insurance payment. I took that **** to the office and was told by the manager the bill was an error and not to pay it.Today I received a phone call stating that my account was overdue. I called the business was told I had the wrong number and to call the optical department directly. I have tried to call the billing department several times, waiting 15 minutes each time, but there was no answer.Initial Complaint

The patient's refund was processed on 6/13/23 in the amount of $24.12. Per our credit card processing company it can take up to 5-7 business days for the refund to show back up on the card depending on the bank or credit card company. This claim was also sent to the billing department to have the insurance contacted so that this claim could be voided.

Unfortunately we do not have control over how long the refund takes to show back up on the patients credit card. I would be happy to send the refund receipt. As previously mentioned this issue was sent to the billing department for someone on that team to have the claim voided. The call to the insurance to void the claim was made this morning, 6/15/23 at 8:27am.
