    12/27/23, I brought my Honda CR-V to Findley Honda for a diagnosis and estimate. due to difficulty maintaining high speeds and multiple dashboard lights. After inspection, the technician determined the issue was a faulty turbocharger. 12/28/2022, We took the Honda to Japanese Car Service to verify the diagnosis from Honda. They quoted $1,616.52 for total repair costs including tax to replace the turbo. 1/20/2023 We received the car back and as soon as we drove onto the freeway and attempted to accelerate the car started to struggle. We turned around and drove slowly back to the shop. They informed us that it was necessary to install a NEW Turbocharger. Reluctantly, I agreed to pay $475.64, with a promise of a credit for the previous labor and used turbocharger, that they had installed. 1/23/2023: We went to pick up the Honda. Paid the Japanese car service the $475.64. After we paid… They were driving the car out of the garage when it started emitting clouds of black smoke. They apologized and said the car was not ready to be taken home. 3/23/23 After paying a total of $2,092.16 and calling them every week they finally gave us a new diagnosis: the entire engine needed to be replaced. Which would cost us an additional $5,500.00 or the owner of the shop said he would purchase the vehicle from us since he “felt bad that this happened.” I request that the Japanese Car service restore my car to a good working condition without further delays and no extra expense to me.

    We have been waiting for this customer to respond to us regarding her car since March 24, 2023. I was agreed with them that this car would need an engine. It was also agreed upon that they were willing to complete this work. After months of us trying to locate this very rare used turbo engine we were finally able to locate it, and have yet to hear back from the customer. They were agreeable in all the repairs we completed for them this far, as for returning the vehicle in good working condition, it did not come to us in good working condition we explained all along the way that this process, would be a process of elimination-and that there is no guarantee in regards to using used parts. The vehicle did need a turbo but unfortunately it also needs an engine at this point the turbo malfunctioning caused engine damage. we are happy to return the vehicle in its condition as is with no additional repairs or cost to her at this point. She can pick it up at any time.

    Hello, The car was running perfectly fine. It needed a new turbo which is what we paid for. When we attempted to pick the vehicle up for the last time. It wouldn't run at all and It went up in black smoke. The engine wasn't damaged until the Japanse car service mechanics "replaced" the turbo and did who knows what else. We want our money back. We need our car back! We haven't used our vehicle in half a year. It's completely unfair. We need a resolution.
