My insurance was billed $99.81 on 1/16/25 and is listed as emergency room yet I have never been to their location or had any type of interaction or contact with this business! I go through my insurance to see all my claim to see I am being billed for a visit that never happened. We have received the above file from the Better Business Bureau regarding the above accounts for Ms. ****** for treatment received at *************************** by Shadow Emergency Physicians on February 10,2025. By way of background, Shadow Emergency Physicians (Shadow) employs the physicians who assisted Ms. ****** in her care on the date referenced above.
The prior *************** received was only for the hospital portion of services (facility charges) for the procedures, tests and administrative costs which are itemized. Shadow bills for the care provided by the emergency room physicians (which are commonly referred to as professional services), which cannot be itemized the same way as the facility charges. The physician billing for professional services is separate and apart from any fees incurred at or paid to the hospital. We did not have any insurance information for Ms. ************* That information would have been obtained by the hospital staff, not the physician at time of treatment.
After this complaint was filed, we have received and billed ********************* provider.Please allow the provider 30 to 45 days to process the claim we sent to them.

I received a notice from *** - saying account going to collections from an ER visit that my daughter went to. We paid the only bill that was sent to us by *********************. We have received the above Better Business Bureau complaint #******** Saaya ****** account for treatment received at the ** at ****************** by Shadow Emergency Physicians on February 22, 2024. By way of background, Shadow employs the physicians who assisted in the patients care on the date referenced above.
As for the billing in question, the hospital billing is for facility charges for the procedures, tests and administrative costs which are itemized. Shadow bills for the care provided by the emergency room physicians, which cannot be itemized the same way as the facility bill. The physician billing is in addition to any fees incurred at or paid to the hospital.
Our records show that two statements were sent one on July 22, 2024 and August 21, 2024(attached) to the address listed in the Customer Information section. They were sent to: The parents of Saaya ******. We advised the patients parents to contact their insurance company if they have any questions regarding being billed by us and thehospital. They would go over the explanation of benefits with them for each visit.
We have removed the patients account from the collection agency as a courtesy. We have advised the parents to go to ************************** to make their payment.

I am writing to dispute a debt referenced in a recent letter I received from ************************ a debt collecting company, claiming that I owe Shadow Emergency Physicians $452.28 for services allegedly rendered on May 16, 2024, at ****************************I have never resided in Las Vegas, nor have I ever visited ***************************. I also never received any sort of bill directly from *************************** at any point either. Furthermore, I have not received any medical treatment in the past year. I contacted *************************** directly, and they confirmed that there are no records or outstanding balances associated with my name or account.Upon further investigation, I have reason to believe that this may be related to an insurance scam. We billed his insurance,Prominence HCP HMO (Prominence), on January 23, 2018, in the amount of $853.00.We received a denial from Prominence on March 24, 2018. We billed *********************** (Allstate) on March 24, 2018. We received no response Allstate.
We sent statements to ************** at the address we have on record for him, which is **************************************************************** We mailed statements on June 26, 2018; July 30, 2018; August 31, 2018; and October 2, 2018.
On November 15, 2018 the account was transferred to collections at Capio. We only sent the matter to collections because we did not hear from ************** after repeated attempts to ensure we were paid for medical services he received.

I had Covid while visiting Las Vegas. Went to an Emergency Room and wasn't properly diagnosed because they didn't treat me for Covid nor was I in their Care for over 10 Minutes. The so-called Doctor didn't have time to talk to me. My Insurance should of paid all but ***** plus at that time the Government was paying Hospital bills for such. Regardless they agreed to mark the bill as paid if I pay ********. I later received a bill and called them and was told it would be fixed. That is the amount that is billed to his insurance company based on his diagnosis. ********************* should have issued an explanation of benefits to the patient explaining the amount the patient would owe including the patient deductible and coinsurance.
We billed the patient for those amounts, which are total less than $180. We have sent correspondence to the patient with the dates that we sent statements explaining the amount of the bill owed. The patient did not contact us for a period of almost 30 months before he filed this complaint with the BBB.
We have reached out to the patient with information explaining the amount he owes and provided him with a direct line to a patient liaison so that he may further discuss this matter directly with us.

I am rejecting this response because: The number one thing I dispute is being overcharged and mis diagnosed when coming to get care. There was a person I was told was the Doctor who came in the small Petition for not even minutes. I paid the Emergency Room bill which wasnt as much as the Doctors ****. At one time you could call the office and talk to people. I let them know what happened and was told not to worry about it because they would take care of it. Last, I ever heard until I received a call from the collection company. Now you cant get anyone on the phone there and Im told they arent even in Las Vegas but another city.
I guarantee if whomever these cons are purchased a service and didnt get what they were paying for, would not agree to pay a bill. They should be happy they got the ******** plus they claim to receive. *************************** pay for a doctor visit is ***** and Emergency or specialist visit 35.00. I even paid more than that to the Hospital.
Their ****** Reviews tells you all you need to know about their shady practices. They said not to worry,and they would credit the bill off, so they need to get it credit it off and close the file. This is a Fraudulent Bill. They have sent a "Bill" to ******************* *** (TSI) Collections for an amount of $2,957.00, who keeps sending me collection letters and threats to my credit rating. I was in Prison in ********** during the period indicated, and/or any Invoice was the responsibility of the **** ********** Office, an agency of the ********** of ******** who transported me during my stay in Prison. As such, I am not responsible for any such bill, it was never sent to me, how they got my current address I do not know, and if they communicated with the U.S. ********** Office they should have collected from them as my medical care in Prison was the responsibility of the U.S. Government. I am not liable for this debt. Shadow Emergency Physician failed to bill primary health ********* in a timely manner. ****** care provider stated physician office should have billed within 180 days of the visit. They billed my heath ********* over a year past the visit date. After calling them and explaining the issue they said they had already closed the collection account, but it was only closed because another collection account bought that account. Now there is confusion to whom is liable. Shadow Emergency Physician is scamming their patients.
