I was not served with a letter indicating that I owed any company. Apparently, a collection was placed on my credit report for the local energy company without my knowledge. I had just moved out of my home less than 30 days prior so how was it placed for collection? I have attempted to get a hold of this company several times, more specifically, I'm on hold now without any help. This company is unethical.Aargon Agency, Inc.

1 starOngoing issue with Aargon Collection Agency. This situation stems from a billing error by my doctor, which resulted in an inaccurate charge of over $300 from one of my Physician’s office dating back a year. Despite my efforts to resolve the miscoded mistake with my insurance company, the bill was ultimately sent to Aargon Collection Agency for collection. After months I finally received the necessary documentation from insurance confirming the issue was resolved. I emailed these documents to a representative named Regina, as instructed. However, despite my compliance and proof of resolution, I subsequently received an additional bill for more than the original amount. I called Steve only to find out he was no longer there. I have a feeling he was too compliant and too nice. After making several calls to Regina and providing further documentation confirming that the balance was indeed paid in full, I emailed Regina twice more requesting confirmation that my account be closed. I received no response. Today, I received yet another bill for over $300. Attempts to reach Regina by phone have gone unanswered, and calls are not being returned. This lack of communication and repeated attempts to collect on a resolved balance is unacceptable and distressing. I consider these repeated charges and lack of responsiveness as harassment, especially in light of the resolved status of my account. This company’s failure to acknowledge the documentation provided and their unwillingness to close my account as agreed constitute unethical business practices. Based on my research, I have found numerous complaints from others in similar situations. I am therefore filing this complaint with the Better Business Bureau in the hope of both resolving my situation and highlighting the need for a thorough investigation of Aargon Collection Agency’s billing and collection practices.Review fromTanya A

I received a letter today stating I owed ******* $151.07 for medical services in March 2017. It is now May 2024. I Called and gave them the reference number but would not confirm any other personally identifying information. I explained the purpose of my call was to request they not contact me again. When I would not give my personal information, he hung up on me when I said they were trying to collect 'junk debt'. Any ability to collect this debt would have expired. They come after people thinking it's been so long that they won't have record of payment ( they don't know me). I'm sure I have the records and it has been paid, but I wont waste my time to look up paid, uncollectable bills that cannot be reported to the credit reporting bureau. I will, however, take the time to report them to the State Attorney Generals office.Aargon Agency, Inc.

I keep getting letters/bills from this company as well as phone calls. This debt is also still on my credit report, and I keep disputing it. These debts have been paid off by insurance, and were involved in litigation. I have had my attorneys talk to them as well, and clearly this operation is unprofessional because they still harrass me. This place needs to be investigated, because who knows how many people are sending them money for a debt that was in fact PAID OFF. Ridiculous, and when you call they snap at you and cut you off, not even answering your questions. They were extremely condescending. I myself work with the General Public and could never imagine keeping any of my employees if they spoke to people the way these ones do. If I could give negative stars I would.Aargon Agency, Inc.

If the consumer would kindly contact me directly with any additional information, including attorney information, I would happily assist. I only saw that the consumer contacted/disputed through the credit bureaus and don't show any calls or direct disputes. They are trying to steal money from me. IF THEY ARE LEGITIMATE. Then they purposefully just screwed me with getting insurance coverage for a ER visit. They called me when I was also worrying about money. They tried making me pay for this bill, the lady at the ER I visited stating, that my insurance was not used??? Even though I handed her my insurance card at the time, which I was covered. The fault at the end of the day lies with the hospital. The agency calls out of nowhere a year and half after the ER visit, stating I owed money. NO NOTIFICATIONS OR BILLS SENT TO ME ABOUT THE VISIT. After going through a mess and calling my insurance at the time, placing in complaint with them, they said to send the dam information to my insurance. The representative THEN decide to tell me they can not send the file BECAUSE BLAH BLAH LIE LIE LIE. So, I went and sent in the information provided to me, by my insurance provider at the time, to the E-mail address given to me. THEY NEVER REPSONDED. I called the agent back, let them know i did all this and to please send it into the person for approval, so they can send it out to my insurance provider... WHICH I WAS STILL COVERED UNDER DURING THE POINT OF THE CALL AND MY INSURANCE PRIOVDER SAID THEY WOULD TAKE THE BILL! After haning up, the person who is supposed to receieve the E-mail NEVER RESPONDED, NEVER SAID ANYTHING, NO NOTIFICATIONS- JUST LIKE THE BILL THEY TRIED TO MAKE ME PAY- After all that, the agent calls me back MONTHS LATER, INTENTIONALLY WAITING TILL I AM NO LONGER COVERED, AS EVENTUALLY IT WOULD BE TOO LATE. I thought it was resolved. It wasn't. I'm pretty sure this was intentional and violates hippa and other things. I aint paying that bill. Scumbags.Aargon Agency, Inc.

I received a missed called, so I called back and asked the agent or operator number of who I was speaking to. Victor responded with a condescending tone, and repeated his initial statement. I told him I didn't ask him his name, but asked his operator number. Victor then huffed on the phone and I could tell I was going to get nowhere, I asked to be transferred to someone who wasn't going to be rude to me. Victor told me he wasn't going to transfer the call but I could just call back. Turns out this wasn't even for me, and when I asked to file a formal complaint no one seemed to have any information. This agency clearly had very poor training and should be held accountable for harassing. I finally spoke to Enrique ******* (supervisor) ext XXXXX, to which I was left with the impression he was going to sweep this under the rug. Horrible company, companies beware, lawsuit waiting to happen. Sadly I'm too busy.Aargon Agency, Inc.
