    We hired ***************************** of Denamak Construction to build us a custom outdoor gate in September 2022. He had been referred by a neighbor. The instructions were to simply make the exact same gate as our neighbor (attached), which sits 2 feet from where our gate is and was there for him to see and measure. The total quote was $1560. We paid $520 on 9/1/22 as an initial payment. On 9/29/22 he told us the gate was ready for install, which he did. I was out of town and my wife was at work and not able to see the gate before it was installed. But after install she noticed that the size and powder coating was off. So, we immediately reached out (as you can see via attached texts). He did come back out to look at the work after the paint dried (as per his instructions) and admitted to me in person that he had hired bad powder coating guys and promised to re-do the gate (also stated in a text). I've been chasing him ever since. Our mistake was paying in full before fully inspecting his work. And that was because he's a small business and seemingly a nice guy and we believed that he would make good on his promise of installing a new gate. You will also see via text that he finally got back to me saying he would be there on Jan 31... but that date came and went with no communication.
