To whom it may concern:I contacted *******************************, *******************************************************************************, to repair an existing door handle on my front door, on November 12, 2024. They sent 247 Locksmith, **************************, 89113-1859. The locksmith said that the existing unit could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. I was not quoted a price for the work or the replacement hardware. I did not ask how much this would cost before the work was done because I believed it would not be that expensive. I had replaced door hardware before and had a general idea how expensive it would be..When the job was done and the new hardware was in place, the locksmith told me the job would cost $900 cash, no credit card or personal check accepted. The invoice I have showed $220 labor, which seems a little high. I was also charged $680 for a Dakota model Kwikset door hardware that sells for less than $100. I was not given an invoice from the supplier. This was a scam. I have contacted both locksmith companies three times asking for a partial refund of $500, but neither company has been responsive.******* ****** 1478 *******************************************

09/27/2024 24/7 Locksmith Nevada, was found through 5-star Yelp reviews, which I now believe is a scam, since their BBB reviews are 1-star. They provided an invoice and installed locks on 2 business doors at The Stage, ********************************************************************************************, even though they were called to repair the lock on only one door, at a small commercial building. The installer was working alone and called to report that we needed both main doors at The Stage repaired, which was never confirmed by the building manager. Although the locks appeared to work during installation, the second door that was added to the invoice failed working that evening when tenants attempted to lock the doors. When you turn the key on the second door, the bolt falls down and no longer engages. This door is now unlockable. At time of installation, the installer called me and demanded payment. He would not agree to sending an invoice. To limit conflict in a small place of business, I provided a **** cc and paid $728.00. The installer has been called and made several appointments to repair, but never showed up, including a last attempt yesterday, and again he did not show up, and no longer answers his phone. Today, 10/09/2024, I called and requested to speak with the apparent owner, ****. I told him that the locks do not work, the installer will not repair or return calls, and that I have filed a dispute with the cc company. His response was go ahead and good bye. I quickly said that I prefer that he repair and I would rescind the dispute. He refused to discuss and hung up the phone on me. Thus, I am reporting this company to the BBB.

Date of Transaction with 702 Locksmith- 8/28/2024 Invoice amount $400 Locksmith committed to gaining entry to locked door. And repairing damage. The locksmith arrived and unlocked the door I had called to have serviced. Over the phone he quoted me $****** the process the door was damaged. The tech took pictures and said they would repair the damage. The invoice shows the techs description of actions and intent to repair the door that same day.I was billed $400 dollars. When the tech never showed, I called the office. I received a text message from the tech saying they where not able to repair the door but would refund $200 dollars.I asked for an updated invoice. The tech stopped messaging me. I called the office a few days later for an update and was told a tech would reach out. No tech ever reached out. I sent an email to the email on my invoice explaining everything, but again no response On September 19th I called the office directly seeking an update. I spoke with a *******. She looked up my phone number associated with the call and immediately hung up on me. No further contact from them.

I locked my keys out of my car. I was told the cost would be $150 to unlock my car. I was billed $400. When I asked why the bill went from $150 to $400 he stated "Your car insurance will pay the difference" I told him my car insurance does not cover locksmith. He did not care and is a scam. I am owed $250.

I called for them to fix a door lock that would partially close. I thought they would adjust the door sill. They told me I needed a new lock (every two years). Then then gave me a phone quote of $245. When they were all done I had a bill of $645. I told them that the cost was redicious. They agreed to give back $300. Never got money within the three days they promised. Total job seemed to be a sham on seniors. I call they don't answer.

Was not told cost of opening car, tech opened door then told us it was $500 and held my sons drivers license hostage until he paid. Would not have let this guy touch our car if we knew it was going to be that much. Called other places and all other places charge less than $100.

I have a rental property that I had to rekey, I already had the original key to the lock. I called Vamanos Locksmith also known as 24 7 Locksmith Nevada **** They quoted me over the phone $75.00 to change one lock. They came out, changed the lock and charged my card $430.00 and sent an invoice to my email. This is a gross overcharging of customers. They operate under many business names with this as the business name they charge under. This business needs to be shut down for fraud and theft from their customers.

On 9/23 I was locked out of my apartment, so I called 247 Locksmith. They had to drill out both the dead bold and door key and replace both locks. I thought this would only cost about $500.00 but the locksmith would not give me a price for doing the work. He said that he had to get the cost from the office When I got the invoice from the locksmith's phone, I almost died> The bill was for $1,584.04. I complained but to no success, and then he said that I had to pay in cash. I don't keep that much money in my home being that I am a disabled elderly person. He than had me go with him to the bank and withdraw the money of which I could hardly afford as I live on Social Security. I complained about the cost, but the locksmith said that there was nothing he could except get me a small discount for being a veteran and elderly person. I would not ever in my life reamend this company to anyone. If I had read the reviews about this company, I would not have used this company in the first place, but I had used them on my car which was stolen and recovered but had to replace the door lock and the ignition which they charged me $2,000.00. which I thought was a little high but payed it anyway. He said that the switch only came with 0ne key and to make another. key he charged me $145.00. In hindsight I should have known not to call them back, but I needed to get into my apartment. They also demanded cash for this work.
