Vehicle was in shop for 10 days and they gave it back to me with the center console not fully reinstalled and when I came back today for them to fix it they tried to tell me that the OEM head unit wasn't factory so that's why the tech half assed the repair. The head unit is an OEM 2012 Jeep Wrangler head unit .

I bought this jeep recently at this dealership. The first thing I noticed when I took it home was that it had no alignment or balance. I thought it was my mistake, but I was getting used to it. Then I noticed that it was an alignment and balance problem. At the time of purchase, I was given a document that had all its services updated without any problems or defects. Eight months later, the coolant bottle broke. This jeep did not exceed the 3.8 miles daily from home to work from work to home It should be noted that these bottles do not usually break easily enough to break on 3.8 km trips where the car does not generate enough excessive heat.A month later I am still waiting for the part to be replaced. A simple part that you can get on eBay, Amazon or in local stores does not give you a logical and reasonable answer. They just tell you “We do not have the part.” This ineffective and ridiculous wait is beginning to affect me at work and in my daily life. The wait is ridiculous.

I am totally disgusted & disappointed! I should have NEVER went here b/c the honest people that used to work there- don't any longer! Red flags- I should have payed attention to!I asked them was anything wrong with the vehicle- bmw x2 as it had low miles a great thing. They "claimed" they did whole inspection check (bs) especially when there was an exclamation in the dash- driver side blinker at which they turned it off w the tool. came right back on! I haven't even had the vehicle for 90 days & behold freaking vehicle cuts off in middle of desert w bad reception! Get where it needs to go get looked at & is the original battery from 2018! Sunroof stopped working 3 weeks after me getting it-motorcab malfunctioned!! Now the front breaks needs replacing mind you, they did this whole inspection check &I asked several times there isn't going to be anything I have to do to this vehicle? response- NO! silly me, right?!! Who sales a vehicle upon doing a check with the original battery, break pads to where the dealership was like they didn't see the breaks were VERY WORN BEFORE SELLING?!!? I don't know, great ? For them!! Not only was I stranded, not only did I have to already come out of pocket almost $1k and still have tp get the breaks & oil done furriates me! Tried texting sales rep - oh, let me speak to my manager. Did he make it right-nothing! Paperwork says communicate w us before taking legal action. I tried-l I would have kept my old vehicle &got my air fixed to not have to deal with the headache. Furthermore, finace says oh, if you wasn't going to take it, she would not have got her bonus!! Freaking kidding me- So to put the icing on the cake, You want to talk about deceptive practices! To add insult to injury, their service department SUCKS! If you don't purchase 1 of their vehicles, they do not advocate for what they sold. Service said we don't know anything about bmw and all we are going to do is take it to them! Like wow!

Bobby was amazing with getting me into a newer truck, no pressure and extremely knowledgeable. Christina and the finance team made the whole transaction seamless. Highly recommended.

Dealership is disreputable. Sold me a used car with known safety defects they did NOT disclose to me. The soft jeep top's roof cable was severed and the roof blew off in a rain storm. The right front headline was burned out! The wheel monitor was defunct and melted into the assembly. The improperly secured spare tire fell off on the highway. Any of these could have cost me my life. And Chapman's response? Nothing. No returned calls or emails. No apologies. No compensation. No "Let's make this right for you." They don't care. They made the sale and it sucks to be me. Well, you should know. And buy elsewhere.

Thank you for making us aware of Mr. ****** concerns. Prior to him flying out from Florida to pick up the Jeep, our representative sent him multiple pictures & information about our preparation that we perform on every pre-owned vehicle. This was a 9 year old Jeep (2015) with 100K miles on the odometer. Every effort was made to insure that it was serviceable for the eventual purchaser. There were NO "known safety defects" prior to sale.

To our understanding, Mr. **** drove back to Florida in the Jeep but not before driving to Oregon & Washington. He called his salesperson, Sal while in the Northwest & said his headlamp was out but that he had tapped it & it came back on. Apparently a loose connection. Sal asked at that time if there were any other concerns & he mentioned the roof "leaking" during a rainstorm which is not uncommon depending on the force of the downpour. It would be very hard to blow off if Mr. **** had the clips fastened as he should have. I'm not familiar with his issue for the wheel monitor (not sure what he is referencing) nor the spare tire. The spare tire is fastened to the holder with 3 lug nuts. Certainly for all 3 to fail is unusual & there would be significant warning prior to something like that happened.

Before he left our agency Sal explained that we would not be able to warranty a vehicle this age nor for a buyer so far away from our agency. We do a lot of minor items for our clients in our community & may well have been able to look at some of these items were Mr. **** available to us. We are disappointed that he has experienced any issues at all but to suggest that Chapman is somehow disreputable as a result is dishonest and inaccurate.

Chapman dodge Las Vegas off Boulder is the best dealership I have ever been to. From start to finish it was by far the best experience I’ve ever had buying a car. They understood my needs and answered all my questions. The staff are great and the environment was awesome. Thank you Chapman I will be back when I buy again! Thank you

I live in Kansas and was referred to Matt at Chspman Dodge for a car. Looked tar the Lexus 200ct and decided it would be a good car for my daughter. Got a deal worked up and I gave a 1000 dollar deposit to hold the car until financing was complete. I gave the deposit on March 28 at 430 pm. Friday afternoon Matt notified me the financing was approved and he would fed ex documents on Saturday to me to sign and then send back and oay the down oayment. Saturday late morning JT, sales manager, contacts me and tells me I see you put a down payment on the lexus. We have some major issues with lexus. Since your out of state and can't drive it. A couple customers before you told us ot has some major issues. I can refund your deposit and if you look online and see something else we will get a deal done. I asked him what issues. He told me they hadn't gotten it in the shop yet to see if anything was wrong . I told him my boyfriend had driven it and said it was great. It did pull slightly to the right biut thats it. I contacted Matt our salesman and as we're tslking he says JT didnt tell you it sold to someone else. I'm very upset at this point. Jt calls me back and says that Matt informed him I was upset. I told him yes cause he's a liar and never told me the vehicle was sold. Why even lay a deposit down if its worth nothing. Jt said the other location can't see there's a deposit. Even though as soon as i put a deposit down it said sale pending on the website. He said someone came and got it Friday night and sold it. Not true. Come to find out they waited for Matt to leave and Henderson lot came and got the car and was given per.mission to sell. Reason being so the dealership didn't have to mess with fed ex the documents if it could be sold go ahead. I had a deposit and financing. You sold it out from under us and Matt your own salesman. Your shady and wont ever do business with you again and will never refer anyone to us instead sewer them far away.

Thank you for sharing Ms. ********* concern & review.

I have personally been in contact with her regarding the circumstances. Candidly we did a poor job of communicating what her deposit conveyed.

That being said there were a number of concerns in her transaction that gave us pause. She was in another state, she was trading in a vehicle that didn't belong to her & her credit history caused us to only be able to secure an approval from 1 lender. Her response to me was that she didn't have to trade the car & could pay cash if needed. Obviously we were unaware of those assertions at the time.

While I have apologized many times to her, I don't disagree with decision as there were far too many issues to deny another client the opportunity to this vehicle. Our error was in not explaining that her deposit did not hold the car it only memorialized the financial aspects of the agreement.

      Sincerely,

      Don Hamrick, GM

I purchased a Jeep 4xE from them and was told at purchase that the vehicle would provide good gas mileage from Pahrump, NV to East Las Vegas. When I came in to test drive the vehicle I loved it but there was no charge on the battery so I was unable to ascertain that the plug in hybrid did not charge sufficiently enough to obtain the desired fuel efficiency. It was not until I called back two days later that I was informed that the vehicle at best was getting 22 mpg. If I had been told that information before signing I would have never continued with the deal. The practice seemed shady and there were long delays at the dealership. Overall, I love dodge and Jeep but I will not purchase another vehicle from Amy of the Chapman family of dealerships and I highly recommend you do not either.

Sean thank you for taking the time to post your experience. I don't know who told you what fuel economy your Jeep was getting or how they would have calculated that but it is wholly inaccurate.

The federal government, through the EPA, estimates the fuel economy on all vehicles sold in the US. With the advent of hybrid vehicles they use a designation called MPGe reflecting that the vehicle has both electric & gas powertrains. Your Jeep is rated at 49MPGe. The hybrid powertrain has a range of 35 or so miles depending on conditions. After that the vehicle uses the gas powertrain. If you charged your vehicle while in E. Las Vegas you would only use gas for approximately 10 miles each way, essentially using less than a gallon of gas for a 90 mile journey! If you are unable to charge while in town & make the return trip on gas only you would still only use +/- 3 gallons of gas for a 90 mile journey. I am happy to answer any further questions you may have but your perception of our dealership is inaccurate. We don't participate in any shady practices as they are not in our or our customer's best interests.

Bait and Switch I went down yesterday after finding a 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 Vin# 1C6RREFG8MN589930 listed at 33,555 And Certified with 21 thousand miles on it. also doing a Trade-Tn with my 2015 SRX which I did online through there web site giving me an estimate of 11,1010 trade in value but I put only 90 thousand mile due to just a quick Est. Speedy was this Sales/Mang. showing me paper work with a payments 600 511 468 etc. I was like how are you coming up with these #'s I'm only financing 20 something thousand.. then turn around showing me some type of anti theft costing 3000., I told him I don't want or need that. He said ok but still the price/payment don't change.. telling well interest rates are high. And I have EXC credit.. I asked multiple times what is the interest rate and that I want to see the break down on everything. Finally he brings it to me they added 3000 on top of the price added my 700 tax credit to 8500 trade in which should have been no less than 10000 making it as if they were giving 9200 for my trade In and insisting that I had to pay for the Truck being Certified which is 3000. I told him that this illegal he keeps telling that how we get people down here. And still he kept trying to find away to sale me the truck like it was nothing, just trying to rip me off in front of my face. I told him you want to buy a truck that I'm going to be upside down in because your adding thousand to it you think I'm that stupid, he said you wont be upside down,, you have a few thousand equity I said really how do you figure that and he then said ok its 1000 equity.. Now I'm pissed like how stupid can this guy be. I recorded just about everything that was said. Also have screen shots of the truck with sale price and listing Info. I will be reporting this Dealership Business Activity t o the FTC and anyone else that this has happened to should as well. Also I forgot to mention them adding on another 50 dollars to my pay off amount.

My Durango was towed to Chapman because she all of a sudden wouldn’t start. This is a text: “…Currently our shop is very busy and we will need the vehicle **for 1-2 days*** to complete the ($500) diagnosis.” One to two business days. That’s not too bad…. NINE DAYS LATER a technician informed that I need a new Power Distribution Center (it’s melted and must be entirely replaced), and wiring harness (no reason was given) for $8300.00. That figure is a MANDATORY first step and DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY ACTUAL REPAIRS YOU MIGHT NEED. I need my Durango to start! I wasn’t looking to rebuild the engine! I was told there will be NO WORK performed on that Durango until those two conditions are satisfied. ** I asked him just to find out why it’s not starting so I can drive it out of there and get out of their hair. Pretty clear my mistake towing her there in the first place. I’m on the hook for a $500 diagnostic, so I wanted him to do something helpful. Which he refused, guaranteeing I couldn’t even drive it off their lot. ** (The “melted power distribution center” was an isolated fuse partially melted in a slot. The Technician I had from ***** **** ***** simply picked the melted fuse out of the slot. NO NEED FOR A $4000 FUSE BOX.) ** (There is nothing wrong with my factory wiring harness. Verified by a 22-year mechanic.) I want a refund for the hour of labor I was charged. There wasn’t a diagnostic. I'm sure my technician didn’t even complete one, or they would’ve charged me the $500. The damage done by disregarding me, treating me so arrogantly and disdainfully is not forgivable. I will not hesitate to talk anyone out of anything Chapman. Thankfully, I was smart enough to tow her to the most honest, and highly skilled, people at ***** **** *****. (Who had her starting fifteen minutes after getting her!) But that’s a different review!

Joele ***** thank you for sharing your perspective with us and the Better Business Bureau. We take all input seriously & work to improve our operations with information shared with us by our customers.

I’m happy that you were able to get satisfactory service with Urban Auto Workz.

When you came to us there were several items noted on the repair order. Obviously the vehicle not starting was the main reason you had it towed here. Further you noted that the A/C/heater fan was inoperable, the tire pressure warning light was on & that your turn signals weren’t working properly. Your vehicle had significant issues with wiring as was noted. Unfortunately we don’t have the luxury of just getting your car started & running again as we feel a responsibility to identify & rectify the issues that are causing your concerns. We understand that on a 9 year old, 150K+ mile vehicle you may not want to spend the necessary monies to address those concerns but we have an obligation to share with you what we discover. Much of this may have occurred without your knowledge or you may well have given these prior repairs your blessing if it was a financial consideration. We can’t accept the liability of knowingly doing a “temporary fix” so we appreciate your having a repair done elsewhere. Our records show you paid $240 not $500. That is more than fair for the time, effort and attention shown by our technician. You can see the photos taken by our technician identifying the numerous concerns.

      Sincerely,
      Don Hamrick, GM
