Las Vegas Valley Surgery Center is overcharging **** had surgery there in 2021 and received a bill after insurance was completed for the patient responsible for $1000.00. I paid $500 on 07/26/2021, another $100.00 on 10/08/2021, and I have 12 payments of $25 after that over the past 2 years totaling $950 of the $1000 that I owed. I received a New bill on 02/01/2024 from Las Vegas Valley Center stating I owe $125.00 Because they are not able to find My payment from 10/08/2021. I have Proof on my bank statement showing I made this payment on 10/08/2023 and every transaction I made with this company and they are still trying to charge me for their mistake

In response to the complaint that Valley View Surgery Center is overcharging :

First of all we allowed this patient to make payments on her initial  deductable/co-payment for her surgery.   She did pay $25.00 monthly The surgery center hired a new billing company in the midst of this period and one of the payments was not showing on the date that the patient said she paid.  Namely she stated the 7th of the month she paid where as in fact it was the 17th.  Simple mistake.  We have been in contact with this patient and never threated any collection tactics.  I am sorry that she felt the need to file a complaint.  Her remaining balance has been credited and she owes nothing to Valley View Surgery Center.  Valley View Surgery Center strives to offer the best care to our patients and that includes financial care also.

On Nov 14, 2022, I had a minor procedure done at the Valley View Surgery Center. Prior to the procedure, I paid a copay of $563.13. My insurance was responsible for paying the balance. In December 2022, I received my statement from the insurance company showing that they paid $1041.78 and that I was responsible for paying $208.36. The amount that was paid indicated that my copayment was an overpayment. I called the surgery center Feb 3, 2023 and spoke to ***** in the accounting office. She acknowledged that my copayment was an overpayment and the company would be refunding me the amount indicated ($354.50). They told me to expect a check in the mail. After not receiving a check in one month, I called again March 6, 2023. This time they told me that the payment would be expedited. After not receiving the check, I called on March 30 and **** told me that the payment was being finalized and advised me to call the following week to check on the status. I called April 5 and **** could not tell me when I would be receiving the check. On April 27, **** told me that an email was finalized and sent out from another department or to whom it was sent, but she could not tell me when it was sent. She told me that she would call me and follow up. It is now May 9 and I have not received a call. I am simply trying to receive my refund for the overpayment and the business is apparently is not planning to refund me my owed amount. I don't have an account #, but it is listed under my name...*********************, birthdate, 12/19/59.

As per the notes on the account ************************* has been in contact with VVSC billing company representatives regarding his balance/overpayment.

The billing company reviewed his account and created a request for refund and sent it for their internal review.

It was forwarded to VVSC on 05/18/2023 to issue the refund, it has already been forwarded to VVSC Accounts Payable, the check would be mailed out this week, and patient would be notified.

    Thank you,
