My name is ********* ******, and I was scammed by Alumni Advantage/SPCTWO LLC and I have formally requesting a full refund of all payments made to Alumni Advantage/SPCTWO LLC.On February 27, 2023, I was contacted by someone claiming to be part of the student loan forgiveness program. This individual had detailed information about my student loan and assured me that I would be enrolled in a forgiveness program based on my income. They collected my personal information and informed me that my monthly payment would be $49.00, with a due date of the 19th of each month. Additionally, I was required to make a one-time payment of $799.00 to initiate the program. I was also told that I would need to recertify annually and that my payment amount would increase if my income exceeded $60,000 per year.Throughout the duration of my involvement, I received text messages instructing me to call and update my information for recertification. However, I encountered multiple issues with payment processing, including payments being taken twice in a single month, leading to return check fees of $35.00 on two ************ December 2024, I noticed that my scheduled student loan payment for the 19th had not been processed. Concerned, I called the provided contact number *************), only to discover it had been disconnected. When my January 19, 2025, payment also failed to process, I attempted to call again and found the number was still disconnected. At this point, I became extremely concerned about the status of my student loan.I then contacted my actual student loan servicer using the customer service number from my official loan paperwork. A representative informed me that they had not received any of the payments I had been making to Alumni Advantage/SPCTWO LLC and that I had been scammed. I made a one time payment of $799.00 and 20 payments of $49.00.

I paid $936 for a Student Loan Forgiveness Program that is not legit. No service was provided. I did not receive the refund I was promised either. I spoke with the company on 09/11/2024 & was informed I would receive the refund. It is now 09/25/2024 & no refund has been received. When I call to ask status of this refund I get hold music and I left a voicemail did not receive a call back and when I called back the second time I got more hold music and then the phone called disconnected automatically that was not able to leave a second voicemail. The company has been automatically withdrawing $39 a month and that money has not been applied to my student loan.

Hello,The business ******************** (SPCTWO) contacted me as if it was affiliated with ****** -- the federal student loan finance lender. The claim was that it helped ****** provide consolidation for student loans that were Federal. They also had all my personal info that had been given to the loan companies by my previous school **********************. I talked with them over the phone and it seemed reputable. I paid a one time deposit up front in July of 2022 for 299$ to have my monthly payments reduced to 39$ per month for up to 20 years. This included paperwork and detailed information. I was fresh out of college so this plan of action seemed appealing. This was around the time that forbearance for federal loans was ending after Covid. From July 2022 to September 2024 I have paid 39$ per month on the 16th or 18th of every month. I have all the ***** banking account receipts for this -- on the statements it appears as SPCTWO. On 9/15/24, I got a call from ****** inquiring about my student loan debt with them. After talking to a representative, it appears that none of the $$ has gone towards the student loan with them. After some googling, it appears that this has happened to a wide variety of people. This scam company has been preying on post graduates who have federal or private student loan debt and are vulnerable. ****** "SPCTWO student loan" and hundreds of cases regarding their scam will come up. I contacted **********'s Fraud team and they looked into it for me -- unfortunately because it has been such a long time of transactions the fraud team is not able to do anything about it. I have 13k in federal loans to pay off, and 40k in private loans to pay off. I need a resolution to this and would greatly appreciate any help the BBB will provide. There are 28 transactions from SPCTWO on my bank statement over the past couple years. I will provide a screenshot of that below. Thanks.

I received a letter in the mail stating that I could apply for Student Loan Forgiveness if I worked for a non-profit employer. I am employed with ***************** which is non-profit. I filled out the application and was informed that I qualified for loan forgiveness with 120 payments of $39.00. I have not received any statements or any emails with any status update of how much money was paid or how many payments are remaining. I just recently received a letter from ED ********* on 8/7 notifying that the Federal Court issued a forbearance on all student loans and that no payments are not being applied to any loans at this time. I called the phone number on the letter and asked if I should stop payments on my Public Loan Forgiveness and they had no record of what was once called Scholastic and is now called *****************************. I did then message my bank ****************** and asked for a phone number and they had to dig for a phone number. The number they gave me did not go to the company I needed so that phone number associate gave me a different phone number. The phone rang and went directly to a voicemail. I left a few voicemails and did not receive a call back. I did read that multiple other people have been scammed the exact same way by this company. I have all my bank transfer records for the payments made to this company if needed for documentation. When I filled out the application I had a different last name due to marriage. I was formerly known as ***** L. ******. My new last name is ******* as of 06/19/2021. I have bank transactions that date back to 08/22/2022.

This business is a scam. I was told it was a debt resettlement program for student loans. Then I find out theyre not affiliated with aidvantage or any federal financial aid. Also the money I have been paying them since September 2nd 2022 ($39.00 for 21 months amounting to $819 in total) has NOT been alleviating my student debt. Now Ive accrued more debt in interest all the while SPCTWO has been taking my money. I am requesting a full refund in the amount of $819. I will be calling the customer service number within business hours tomorrow to follow up.

This business is taking advantage of student loan borrowers seeking income driven repayment and loan forgiveness. They masqueraded themselves to seem like a federal office to help borrowers. I have been paying $49 a month for many months for Recertification that I have done myself for free. SPCTWO is preying on vulnerable people and it is shameful. I have been refunded for the month of August 2024, but if further refunds are possible I would like to request for them.

I called this company SPCTWO in February of 2023 (also known as OSLA servicing, Alumni advantages), claiming to be a federal student loan reconsolidation company that was going to transfer my loans to Aidvantage. I received a piece of mail at my house saying I was eligible for the program. After speaking with them about their "program" of putting my federal loans into a different repayment program with a longer term and lower monthly rates, and looking into the documents they sent me that had federal reference numbers on them, I thought they were legit. Aidvantage was listed on the studentaid.gov website as being my servicer, so again, I thought it was legit. I paid $799 to have my loans moved and was told I would only have a $49 a month payment for the next 20 years, and then my loans would be forgiven. The charge on my bank account was from a company called Alumni at first, until it switched to SPCTWO and I didn't recognize it, so I put a stop charge on it through my bank. A month later I got a call that my loan program had been suspended and I was being kicked out of the refinanced loan program, which scared the h*** out of me, so I called them back on got the charges going again. This continued until documents and information came to me that I should NEVER have had to pay anyone to refinance my student loans, and Aidvantage customer service says they are not affiliated with this company at all. I've been taken for $1,485 by this company all while making below poverty wages. I can't believe people like this exist out there. They have my social security number.

I was promised that by giving them money and making payments every month that I would not have to pay as much for my student loan debt. But now I am coming up on having to pay my student loan and was promised that I would pay minimal amount and Im going to have to pay regular and full amount. I have been trying to contact them and havent been successful. Further investigating, I found out it is a scam and they made this sound urgent and I would like this to be resolved.

In october of last year, I was called by SPCTWO letting me know that I qualify for **** and that they could file it for me for a fee of $600 and the terms of the **** would be $39 per month. I was contacted by ******, my student loan provider letting me know that my **** was not filed and I owe them for two months. I was not told by SPCTWO that I could file myself, in fact they mascaraded as a government office reaching out to debters. I would like a full refound of all the money they took from me. Attached are all the files I filled out and sent to them and the instructions they sent to me in order to fill it out.

    Hello *****,

All calls are recorded for compliance purposes. We did not contact you, you first called us for assistance. We are a 3rd party document preparation center for student loan programs. We never claimed to be a "government office." Who we are and what we do was all on the service agreement that you signed, which by signing confirms that you were aware of this information. You also attached the documents that we prepared and filled out for you. You did not prepare those documents yourself as you are claiming. We will honor your request and provide you with a full refund via a mailed check. However, moving forward we will no longer be able to assist you with your student loans. We wish you the best of luck.
