    GetAways’s sales reps said our timeshare would allow us to book anytime and anywhere we wanted. If we ever couldn’t use it, we could rent it out to make money. The reality is that we don’t have enough points to book anything, let alone rent out the bookings! For the resorts we do have enough points to book, nothing is ever available. Their salespeople said this was a great “investment” that we could sell one day because it would appreciate in value. Instead, it is just a drain on our finances.

    Very misleading. Custormer Service Agent lied about fees. They deducted money out of my account without my permission

    Please be advised there is no evidence of any misrepresentation of fees or an unauthorized withdrawal from your bank account. The purchase documents and club rules delivered to you at the point of sale clearly set forth the current fees. You signed an authorization for your bank to debit your account for monthly payments. We would like nothing more than to resolve these concerns and get you on a great vacation. Call member services who will be happy to assist you. Thank you.

    Scam!!! They took advantage of me in Las Vegas while under the influence. I was told to sit in this presentation for free tickets to concert and dinner. I continued to say I was not interested in purchasing anything with any obligation. I was offered a 3-day trip to one of their other locations for $69 and was charged $699 I found out when I got my credit card statement. I have made several attempts to get this resolved and continue to be hung up on etc. They say I signed a contract although nobody will give me the contact. The only thing I signed was on a small computer was for the 3-day trip (computer only asked for my signature). I continue to get the run around and hung up on. STAY AWAY. Having to get legal involve for the fraud.

    After further review we were able to verify using our contract and audio recording for quality assurance that you were aware of your purchase, the total price, and no impairment could be discerned. We understand that circumstances may change, however escrow has closed, and your contract can no longer be cancelled. 

    Furthermore, you were required to provide a code emailed to you at the time of signing to verify authenticity, and a copy in its entirety was sent to you via Docusign. This email address was matched to your purchase proposal and verified through audio recording. I will request a hard copy be mailed to the address on file for your records.     We have never used this, too difficult to get time off with their calendar. We have always paid the maintenance fees that keep going up. Giving or selling to another would just put the same results on them. We regret signing up with this company. Now we are going to be charged another $2000.00 to end this nightmare. We are very frustrated and want to keep others from the hard sale tactics this company uses. We want this contract to be canceled and never hear from them again.

    We are in the same boat I understand what you feel about this timeshare. I got mine last 2009 and never used even once because everytime I book one they said there is no available room or resort, It’s not fair I always pay my maintenance fee every year for nothing this company is a totally scam, I regret I signed up to this company. May God help me to overcome this.

    What an awful experience. We were on vacation and agreed to hear about a vacation discount on hotels and resorts. After being strong armed by multiple salesmen and guaranteed many things, come to find out you can't sell this back, and your kids get stuck with it and all the maintenance fees once you have passed. What a scam and a pathetic way to take peoples hard earned money. Each month I send letters asking to be relieved from the continuing maintenance fees and still no one will speak to us. I would never recommend this company. And I will continue to fight against this type of business approach, hard sell, wear you down, and a company with total disrespect for customers.

    ******** - Getaway resorts its a SCAM - they make it impossible to 1) book and use your points, so you get frustrated and give up (took me 30 emails and 15 phone calls about 25 hours to book one trips and it was only discounted, still cost me a lot 2) even harder to cancel or modify your plan

    If I could give them a negative number of stars I would. This is an absolute joke of an industry and an even worse company. I bought into their time-share exchange via Sapphire Resorts at the Jockey Club in Las Vegas. Everything about this company spells fraud... Everything from lies during the sales pitch, impossible to find resorts available where you want, when you want as they claim will be possible, trying to use the service is like pulling teeth. The company itself does not have many properties and the ones worth staying at are never available. They partner with RCI for more properties but availability is limited and costs extra money if your lucky to find something available. AVAILABILTY is a HUGE problem. Cost of the program is way out of line for what you receive in return, if you get anything in return. In todays day and age, anyone can rent an extended stay hotel or AirBNB type rental without the hassle or long term expense of these scam time-share bs companies. I paid $6000 I'm paying approx $457 in annual dues which has gone up a little every year, they reserve the right to charge special assessments if the need arises, I am stuck with this crap for 45 years I think, thankfully I'll be dead before they get the full amount from me. I cannot believe that I agreed to approx $28,000 (the $6,000 to get in then the annual dues every year for 45 years) in lifetime payments plus the additional costs to actually stay at one of their properties. There is no way that this program is worth any dollar amount if they cannot provide a decent product in return, and they do not even come close. I have never been able to book one of their resorts with points. I lucked out and was able to use my first 3-year allotment of points via RCI but that requires an RCI booking fee and the resort I booked had a mandatory booking fee for all RCI guests. I have used the extra vacations program but that is also at an extra cost. More to say but out of space...

    Bad business practices. I was pressured into a signing up for a week in a timeshare program. I feel like the salesman took advantage of my husband and I by misrepresenting the terms and conditions of our contract and didn't disclose any of the important information needed to make a sensible conclusion. We were rushed through while signing and had salesman standing over us at all times. I have tried to cancel my contract but have been shooed away by all representatives. I have begged for this company to terminate my agreement but have been told that I own this for life because I signed something I was not properly informed on. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
