      The deed to my parents' house was recently switched over to my father's name only. Property Profiles promptly sent my elderly father a letter for their "services." It appears to be an official letter for him to obtain documents related to his property for $109. My father is 82 and cannot read the fine print on the form, so he assumed this was something he needed to pay for. He paid them by credit card. When I contacted the company, they claimed the documents had already been mailed and he would have to return them for a refund. The woman on the phone was rude, argumentative and dismissive of my concerns. I immediately put in a dispute for the charge with the credit card company. Be careful!! These predatory companies are everywhere.

      Thank you, this customer was fully refunded at the time of their call to us. When they called (all our calls are recorded) this customer was specifically told that it can take up to 72 business hours for the bank to process the refund. The reports this customer ordered were already mailed to the customer and we at no time stated that to get a refund they would need to be mailed back, in fact it was to the contrary. It is normal practice to return a product before getting a refund, but we refund when requested not when the product is returned. Our letter is very clear that it is a service, not a bill,not a government agency and optional we are sorry that this customer assumed otherwise. This customer's claim that we are predatory is untrue and unfounded, We simply offer a service for a service fee. We thank the BBB for their mediation in this matter.Tell us why here...

      We just bought a new home and received a letter requesting payment by 12/9/2022 for a charge of $109 for what appeared to be necessary legal documentation that we own our home. Only after making the payment did we see the fine print which states: "This is not a bill. This is a solicitation. You are under no legal obligation to pay the amount stated, unless you accept this offer. If you are not 100% satisfied with this product, simply return it within 30 days for a full refund." I called the company on a Wednesday at 10:00 AM to request a refund and got an automated message that their offices are closed. I sent them an email stating that we do not want this product, will not be satisfied with this product, and request a 100% refund. I have seen from many other reports on BBB that they do not give the money back despite people reaching out. I wanted to be sure to file a complaint here.

      We are sorry this customer is upset we refunded the full amount,  it can take up to 72 business hours for the refund to process. This customer paid the service fee on Tues 11/29/2022,the customer stated they called us today Wed 11/30/2022 we were unable to answer their call as our office hours are Pacific Standard time and at that time we were closed. The system does give the option to leave a voicemail and this customer did not leave a voicemail.
      We reviewed our records and we did not receive an email from this customer requesting a refund, (unless they sent it to our no reply email by mistake ) if we had we would have refunded immediately and sent an email to confirm the refund.
      All customers who request a refund for any reason are refunded without question. This is clearly stated in our letter (as this customer pointed out), their assumption that we do not refund is incorrect and unfounded.

      This business sent me a document that looks like a bill to my deed of my house. The envelope says warning: $2,000 fine, 5 years imprisonment, or both for any person interfering or obstructing with delivery of this letter u.s. Mail tty.18.code The letter says I have a service fee of $109.00 and I must respond by 12/09/2022.

      The warning this customer is referring to is A **** code advisory for persons who interfere with the delivery of mail, it is not intended for the recipient of the letter, and is not relevant to our offer for service. The letter clearly states its not a bill, that we are not a government agency, and that it is a service for a service fee, NOT for a deed. It states that is it for a  Property Profile" report and has  a list of what the profile report contains and the uses for the report. This customer will receive no further solicitation letters from us. We thank the BBB for their mediation in this matter.

      This customer was refunded the full amount on 10/6/22 it can take up to 72 business hours for the refund to process through their bank. This customers property report was delivered to their address (see attached shipping tracking) and they at no time contacted us to  inform us they had not received their report, if they had had we would have resent immediately. Our service fee is for the compilation and research for an approximately ***** page property report called a " property profile" NOT for a deed this is very clearly stated on our notice However there is FREE deed included with the property report. we thank the BBB for their mediation in this matter.

      On 8/22/2022, a payment of $109 was sent to property profile in order to receive a copy of my deed for my home. As a new and first time homeowner I feel very dumb having participated in this transaction not knowing I could simply contact my register of deeds office to obtain a copy for a few dollars if not free. I'd like to cancel the service and request for a refund of the $109 of the transaction ID of ***********.

      Called and spoke with a rude young lady that took my information down. Was purchasing on my grandmothers behalf. $107.00 Called to ask for refund as I did my research. Same rude lady answered and threatened me stating my grandmothers deeds where going to be reversed and everything was going to cancel itself off. Asked for refund reference number and rude lady hung up. Called again and spoke with a different lady this time around and asked for refund. Said there is no way for them to provide me with a reference number for a refund but they will email and I should receive it in 72 hrs. No email Called not even 2 hrs after purchasing this for my grandmother. NEED MY MONEY BACK NOW! I don't mind filing a small claim and take this to court.

Her refund was issued on 7/14/22 we explained that this refund process can take up to 72 business hours to complete, today is 72 business hours. That being said it was explained that the refund and charge was processed on the same day, so her bank may have voided the transaction as the this sometimes happens with a same day refund, if she follows up with her bank they can check and explain this further. We have attached a transaction receipt, confirming the refund.We consider this matter closed. We thank the BBB for their mediation

      Purchased a home in April 2022. Received a letter from this company not long after stating that we needed to pay $107 for a copy of our deed, which was ordered on May 10 2022.. It is now June 30 2022 and we have received nothing!! I emailed them asking for answers and nothing!! I then decided to do some research which I should have done before falling for this scam and found out that it is indeed a SCAM! I want my money back and for this company to be shut down.

      This company is running a scam to trick homeowners into unnecessarily paying for a copy of property records through their service. I unknowingly thought this was a required fee when I received what looked like a bill for my deed in the mail. I paid a total of $107.00 on 6/13/22 and have not received any records, nor did I receive a response from customer support when I emailed asking for a refund. The transaction ID for the payment is ***********. Please issue a refund to my original form of payment.

This is clearly stated on our notice, it also states that it is not a bill, and that we are not a government agency. We did receive and respond to this customer email and refunded them the full $107 (on 6/27/22 see attached). Our notice states that our services can take up to 21 business days to complete this is also stated on the emailed receipt this customer requested (see attached), and we were well within this time frame to complete the service. We thank the BBB for their mediation in this matter.
