I placed a catering order for a different day at the St. Rose location, went in person and met Jordyn. Everything seemed to go well, until I returned to my office and noticed a bowl of food had been delivered by Makai via door dash, and attempted to charge me $203 for the plate of food. I returned to the store to explain the food was not mine and the excessive charge. They blamed the system, which repeatedly crashed during my initial catering order. After texting the General Manager, Jordyn assured me they had fixed the problem and to expect my catering order on the desired date and time. She also told me they would let me know if there were any problems. On the day, I was expecting the catering delivery. I phoned at 10:30 am to ensure everything was ready to be delivered. I phoned constantly, and during my attempts, they NEVER picked up. Given I had a bad feeling they were going to mess up, and food had not arrived 15 minutes after the scheduled time, I ended up going in person. When I asked why they did not pick up the phone, or bother to call to say they were running late, I was told it was because they were too busy. Jordyn appeared to find this quite amusing. When I arrive back to my office, the General Manager was standing with the order, 25 minutes late. It was not delivered by Door Dash, which was arranged, and no apology or explanation was given. I explained how I was disappointed with their lack of customer service, angry that I had driven to collect an order that they had messed up (impacting my business presentation), and that 25 people were waiting for food, and no communication or empathy. The response by Alex, was shocking. Everything from "we were busy" to "it's not my fault, it's corporate". A phone call, apology, ownership and good customer service are some basic service deliverables that clearly that do not interest, or bother this business, or its employees. Such a shame.
