      Had AAMCO transmission repair my clutch and clutch cable, less than two months later, car breaks down and I take it in again just for them to say the clutch is fried. Aamco repairs clutch again and then refused to do anymore work on the vehicle even though I received it in worse condition than when I brought it in. The shifter does not sit into proper gears for 1,3,5. The vehicle no longer turns on after they fixed it again. Im out $2,000 and have a broken vehicle. Im told that they quality check the car before giving it back and then I get into my car with a piece of paneling and screws sitting in the driver seat. Theres no quality checks for questionable work. They ruined my car which otherwise had zero major issues before. I have been driving manual for nearly 8 years and suddenly have two clutch issues within months of taking it to Aamco. I had additional photos and videos if needed.

      So I bought a transmission from them that came with a 3 year warranty I moved up to South Lake Tahoe, CA in 2020. I recently had the transmission go out and was within the three year warranty however at the time of the transmission going out I did not have the paperwork to tell AAMCO in Carson city, NV that it was covered or not at the time I was being told to evacuate South Lake Tahoe, California because of the fire unable to find paperwork which was in a storage unit in Las Vegas. I paid 2500.00 for Transmission In Las Vegas and I went ahead and paid 4100.00 for another transmission in Carson city at AAMCO took it there cause new 50/50 would be covered not knowing that once I paid 4100.00 for new one voids the warranty figured I had no choice pay ahead needed truck to evacuate Tahoe figured better to have a truck than not and if and when find paperwork and warranty would be reimbursed for payment was desperate times police fire military mandatory evacuation. This customer has already contacted our home office regarding this issue and was advised by them that the replacement transmission would have been taken care of at no charge if he had simply informed the AAMCO center that he had a transmission installed in Las Vegas. A replacement transmission would have been shipped in and installed at NO CHARGE to him. We will not be held responsible for Mr. ****** not telling the AAMCO center of a previous repair being performed here when a free solution would have been available. Thank you for your time. The whole reason I had truck towed to AAMCO in Carson city from South Lake Tahoe, CA was because of my previous transmission been put in I told Carson City AAMCO that it may or may not be under warranty and at the time was being evacuated from South Lake Tahoe soon and needed truck fixed ASAP! The paperwork was in Las Vegas so I could not get down to storage locker to check! I was never told that if I paid for new one would void the warranty contract and not be covered I just needed truck figured if was covered would submit paperwork after truck and mandatory evacuation orders given to us no way I could get down to Vegas no truck and come back to see if covered when in doubt on Warranty's most or insurance coverage u pay up front than submit paperwork after paid never heard if u lose paperwork and pay warranty is void and not covered just new I had a 3 year Warranty and it was for 3 years!! I have bought 3 transmissions in past years never had this kind of response to a warranty clearly covered!! When I went to Carson city AAMCO I was not told that if I found was covered and paid they would not be reimbursed if deemed covered!! Never heard anything like this!! We can not be held responsible for the customer not telling the AAMCO center about his prior repair work performed at our center. Our warranty procedures make it simple to get service work performed even without having paperwork from the original repair
