So I provided the business with a 1500 dollar down payment and they gave me a car but then asked for it back since the Westlake loan place said no. We already have a contract and on the phone they told me I would get my money back. So I brought the car back and they said the money was gone. So then they stated I could do in house financing if I had a co-buyer who makes enough with paystubs. I bring them in and they said that I needed to have paystubs and I didn't understand why they kept changing the story. This started in February. Then they sent mail to my cobuyers address even though that's not my address whatsoever and now I'm being harassed by the cobuyers ex wife. I just want my money back. They're full of nothing but excuse and the car wasn't acceptable. It was dirty smelled like cat urine, claimed the tires were new but one went flat because the plug fell out. Then the spare tire wasn't even the right spare tire for that car. I inquired about my deposit and they said it was spent. Also if I was supposed to do in house financing then why was I unable to to qualify since I was supposedly dealing with the business directly. I just want my money refunded. Thank you. They also violated my privacy rights by sending a letter to an address that they knew was not my address nor was it on file. My address matched my driver license so why would they even mail something to the canceled cobuyers address?Business Response

Thank you for reaching out. We take all complaints seriously. However, based on our investigation, it appears the down payment refund is not applicable due to the circumstances surrounding the declined loan due to fraudulent paystubs presented to us by the customer and the repossession of the car. If you have further concerns, please don't hesitate to provide additional details for us to review.Customer Answer

What fake paystubs? ******* told my mother and I that if i had a cosigner with me it would be good. But once I complied with a cosigner they came up with the excuse that I still didn't make enough. It was supposed to be in-house financing and I submitted my paystub to ******** which was denied due to me not making enough. So ******* said bring the car back and we can do in house financing. He asked me how much I can afford and I said I can pay up to 500 a month. Prior to bringing the vehicle back to the dealership, I asked and was told on the phone that I would be able to get my deposit back. So I complied and brought the car back. However i was then told that the deposit money was gone and then i asked if I was going to be supplied with a more affordable car and they said my income still wasn't enough, regardless of my cosigner. La Sierra never had to come repo the vehicle, I returned it cleaner then what they gave to me since it had vomit all over the interior in the back seat and floor and smelled like animal urine, and the spare tire did no even go to that car. They told me the tires were brand new but that was a lie since the plug in one of the tires came out and it went flat two days after getting the car. So I paid for an item from this business but then never received the item. I just my refund. Drivetime accepted my paystub no problem so I don't understand how if it's in house financing why they even took my money in the first place for deposit if they were going to still deny me. I was dealing with la sierra not an auto loan place so why did they not hold up their end. I held up mine. I provided pictures of the vomit in the back seat of the vehicle, text messages in which I complied with what was asked, and the a screenshot from my employer stating that they called and that he verified my employment.Business Response

My cosigner job is legitimate and so is my job. My job didn't pay me the amount they required but my cosigner job does. I understand that this business however, is miniscule compared to the hundreds of other car lots that actually provide good customer service with cars that don't have vomit all over the seats and the spare tire matches the car.Business Response

Exactly! She lied from day one on her credit application claiming she made a certain amount per month when we called her employer to verify she was only making $300 per month then she proceeded to modify her pay stubs to adjust the amount needed by the bank to qualify herInitial Complaint

My partner and I (*************************) purchased a vehicle on 06/10/2023 at La Sierra Auto Sales, a couple weeks later the vehicle stopped on the freeway and is not running...we contacted the dealership immediately letting them know the vehicle is not drivable and asked what he could do to assist us because we both work full time and we put quite a bit of money down on this car and we are still responsible for monthly payments, after going back and forth the person we was speaking to stated that we could have the vehicle towed to his shop and they would look at it, it's a **** Chevrolet Silverado **** VIN 1GBJC3354F245785 , ***** works in construction and has no other way to get to work we have been sacrificing using my vehicle it's been such a inconvenience the dealership has no compassion about the situation, and they ******** sold us a truck with a bad transmission, I discovered this same dealership sold this exact truck to another consumer not even a year ago and the truck was returned with the same issue. So this questions them as a business they are doing bad business and they also seem very shady. At this point we are stuck we need some type of resolution the dealership has been unwilling to speak to us when I called them last which was today I spoke to ****** it's a Spanish name so not sure if I'm pronouncing it right *************) his direct cell number the man was very rude and he hung up on me I told him I would be contacting the BBB, he said do whatever you want, this saddens me and I definitely wouldn't want this happening to someone else, I understand he did not give us a warranty but the least he can do is give us some type of feedback letting us know when the vehicle can be repaired. I asked him can we get a loaner vehicle until this one is fixed, he would not directly answer the question he talks really fast, and he avoids every question when it comes to this vehicle, please help us come to a resolution. The vehicle has been with his mechanic for a couple weeks now, just sitting this is very upsetting I don't know what else to do.Business Response
