I was looking for and found a great price for 2 passengers one way from ****** to ******, website said $194$222 after taxes and fees traveling ***** airlines. I was very happy.until upon entering my credit card info and paying for these flights, the webpage entered pending modeabout 5 minutes later I received a phone call from an agent telling me that price was no longer available and it would be almost $100 more, and that he was able to book it over the phone immediately! Of course this was unacceptable and absolutely false advertising! I defined false advertising for the agent and asked to speak to a manager, of course a manager was not available until the next day. I was hung up on by the agent the moment I said the word scam I then followed up by checking delta airlines direct Website, and found the exact flight at the same time and price, and proceeded to successfully book directly thru deltas website. MyTicketDeal.com is a scam and I am now very uncomfortable with the fact that they have my credit card information.Business Response

First of all we would like to state that fares are subject to availability and are not guaranteed until the tickets are issued. In case the tickets cannot be issued due to change in fare, it indicates that the Fare Class that was selected at the time of booking is no longer available. And in case if the customers are not ok with the current fare available with us then all requests are cancelled without any charges being made. In this case, booking was cancelled and there was no any charge being attempted/made.

I am rejecting this response because: the advertised price of a delta airlines flight on myticketdeal.com was $222, a subsequent phone call from MYticketdeal, revealed that the price would be $100 higher than advertised on the websiteso I checked the delta airlines website, and infact the same flight was available for $222. It appears that MTD is advertising the price of the flight directly from the airline and then jacking up the price. The pending status that every order goes to after taking credit card Info is also indicative of this. This is false advertising.stop the false advertising, be transparent, and make customers aware of what the actual cost of the flights will be BEFORE collecting payment details.

Fares are dynamic in nature and the availability can differ in comparison to Airlines Website. We have already advised you in the previous email regarding the same. Fare was not available with us and hence we offered you what we had. We appreciate that you found a better fare with the airline.

I went on the website to book airfare from PHI-LAS. The total cost $450.00. I booked the trip..said pending verification. I received a phone call 20 mins later reviewing information and was told price was ******, I said no I have the printout and went through all the details., the gentleman said the offer expired. This was at 7am when I searched the flight and booked at 9am. I canceled the trip.I waited a few hours and went back on website and offer was there said I needed to claim in 28 minutes. I quickly filled out all information and booked trip again for 450. I received a phone call 5 minutes later from same gentleman telling me offer was expired. I told him false advertising and I was reporting him to the BBB. He said it take time to update the system.. I told him he had 4 hours..this false advertising and is a scam. I want to report them and be compensated to have my trip at the price I was quoted.Business Response

We apologize for the inconvenience caused. And we would like to state that fares are not guaranteed until the tickets are issued, and are subject to availability. So, because the fare which the customer had selected was no longer available, ticket was not issued and there was no charge made. Hence, the booking was cancelled.

That *** be a true statement but they continued to offer the same deal same flight same airline same price several hours after speaking with them and being told a higher rate.
That is false advertisement saying you can have this flight enter your credit card information and you hit process. It then tells you a representative will be with you shortly. I then received a call back again after entering the information for the second time several hours later only to be told *****************, we spoke earlier the deal is not available. If it was not available for that price then why are you still advertising it on your website. They canceled the order and did not charge my credit card. This is unacceptable.Customer Answer

I believe we have given enough explanation about this. If fares are not found to be updated, one should always check the availability in the airlines website directly. This is what we can recommend to know the real time inventory if the order is not confirmed after several attempts.

On Thursday, March 23, 2023, I placed an order for two round trip airline tickets leaving from *********, ****** and arriving in *********** with the departure/return date for March 29, 2023 for my mother and myself. I reserved and paid for the two flights on the myticketdeals.com website, which was a total of $285.56. Two days before the flight, I experienced flu-like symptoms. The next day, I tested positive for COVID on the home test, and my mother unfortunately contracted the virus from me. I called myticketdeals.com customer service for a refund, but I was informed they could not issue me a refund. When I explained to them my mother and I tested positive for COVID, they asked me to submit medical records showing my mother and I tested positive. I informed them I would call them back after my mother and I discussed submitting our medical records. But my mother and I were not feel comfortable emailing confidential medical results due to the possibility of a data breach. They tried to called me once to submit the medical records showing we tested positive, but I missed the call. I tried calling them back several times to explain our discomfort with emailing my medical test results, however I was sent to voicemail each time. On the day of the flight, I tried to cancel the flight reservations online. I received a twenty dollar flight voucher for Spirit but no flight credits for the amount I paid. Then I tried calling my financial institution to have the transaction canceled. Unfortunately, the representative told me there was nothing I could do.Business Response

This is in response to the complaint which was made by one of our customer who had purchased an airline ticket from **.
First of all, we are sorry to learn that passengers were unable to take their flights as scheduled due to medical exigency as stated in the complaint. The tickets which they bought from us was a non-refundable and non-transferable ticket. We as an ******************** are always there to assist our customers and satisfy their needs. We value our customers and pride ourselves in providing the best customer experience. However, when it comes to the terms and conditions of the ticket; we have to abide by the rules and regulations as stated by the individual airlines. We wanted to help them to get a refund from the airline; but since the tickets were non-refundable and non-transferable the airline needed a medical proof as a supporting document for the refund request. Although tickets are being issued by **; fulfilment of refund can be done only by the airlines. On non-refundable tickets we can at most only cancel the tickets and offer a future credit as per airline rules if they allow. All cancellation and exchanges carriers certain fee. This may vary from airline to airline. Therefore, in case if they are looking for a refund still; they can speak to the respective airline with the supporting document.

We would again like to reiterate that the ticket which was purchased by the customer was completely non-refundable and non-transferable as per Spirit Airline's fare rules. And if due to any medical reason if anyone wants to request for a refund, it has to be supported by a proof. Travel agencies does not have any control and will have to abide by the airline policy. If customer has already spoken with the airline verbally, then they should able to request the refund directly to the airline; because airline will be the one who will decide whether to refund or not. We cannot change the airline rules. Therefore, please continue to deal with the airline directly.
