I took a loan out with this business sometime ago, all was well and I knew what I signed up for, I understood it was a mistake and made the poor choice to finance a computer at the time I worked from home and needed something powerful enough to do video editing. I was current on the account for more than half the term. Upon recently, losing my vehicle and struggling with inflation as well as taking care of my 4 year old son, I cant afford the full payments, I have pleaded and pleaded to have my monthly payments cut in half for the remainder of the term, they reviewed my bank account and denied me due to me buying **** eats and luxury items keep in mind that when you have no vehicle and you cannot get anywhere, food delivery of Walmart, **** eats, is often all you do, and its not even like there was ALOT of money being spent on these things this company is currently at a stand still with me. I am at constant back and forth with a employee named ******, she is very rude and poor with customer service, I work in that role day to do and couldnt imagine taking a week to respond let alone the way she does. I have EVEN BEGGED to just be sent to a debt collection agency so I could work with them on payment arrangements. I just want this headache taking care of.

We are reaching out to the customer and will offer up to 6 months payment arrangements (at 50% current payment) to help him with his situation.   After that time, we will re-evaluate the best way to handle.

I bought an expensive French bulldog from a breeder that offered financing through Terra finance. The breeder offered a 2 year health guarantee if I fed him the food they recommended which the vet said not to give him and his first vet appointment resulted in almost 1k for shots he should've received and dewormer. Fast forward to over a year later when I calculate what I've paid for him and think I should be close to having him paid off. I looked in the lease agreement from my email since it was all done over the phone and I didn't receive any paper copies, and I find out the total amount is over double the price of the dog. At no time during the conversation with the company when discussing the financing and the lease was this stated. I was also never told an interest rate on the account nor is it listed anywhere on the lease agreement. Had any of this been brought up prior to signing the document for the lease I would've pursued other options. I've now paid over 700 beyond the price of the dog, as well as additional vet bills for things that should've been done prior to purchase. I would like the account to be considered settled in full due to lack of full disclosure on lease terms prior to signing. I do not have any copy of the unsigned lease. Only the copy with my signature and none of my emails with documentation have been deleted.

The customer agreed to the terms and conditions from the merchant.   Her concerns about the health guarantee and any costs should have been raised at the time they arose.   Our company does not have any record of communication during these times.  With regards to the agreement, customer was required to review her offer and then review all contract terms applying her electronic initials and signature prior to completing the agreement.   She was also provided a copy after signing.  In our agreement, she had the option to pay off the purchase within 30 days for the same as cash price in case she changed her mind on using financing for the purchase.   The customer is requesting to pay only the cost of the original purpose without recognizing that made an agreement that included finance charges.   Community Finance has an early buy-out offer if she would like to complete her agreement early.   She can call us at ************** or e-mail us at ****************************************** if she would like to discuss her rights to an early buy-out.   The company encourages her to reach out to discuss options.

I am rejecting this response because:
The total purchase price was not disclosed prior to signing a document that wasn't provided until my electronic signature was on it. Nowhere on the lease does it state an interest rate. I've never heard or seen any financing contracts/agreements that don't list an interest rate. How is what I calculated as a 49% interest rate over 26 months justifiable? I've paid the original purchase cost plus an additional almost $800 in a year and a half. I'm not asking for a refund. I'm asking that the additional 800 be considered a reasonable finance charge over a year and a half vs $2863 over 26 months.
    Sincerely,

I was approved for a loan with this company and decided to use a different merchant. I then contacted this finance company to make the change which they agreed to make with no change in the loan. When I did this, I was told not to sign the offer until the change I. Merchant was made. I was sent an updated offer with monthly payments increased over $300 per month. I asked why and they said that was because they changed to a new company. I was not informed about this in writing or verbally at all. They didnt offer to do anything to accommodate the change nor did they honor their original offer. I am asking that they honor their original offer.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 01/28/2024

The company contacted me today to say that they would lower the monthly amount slightly but I am still at a $200 plus deficit.  They are very rude and condescending in their conversations and dont seem to want to rectify the situation.  I spoke with *** today.  The original promise was for the loan offer with terms to be honored for 30 days.  They didnt honor that at all.  This inquiry hit my credit and lowered my score, making it harder for me moving forward.  I need them to accommodate me for this inconvenience.

    Business Response

    Date: 01/28/2024

We received the application on December 10th and approved her on same day for a certain spending limit which has a 30 day expiration.. We got the invoice and sent a contract for her signature on December 11, 2023.  On December 13, 2023, the customer informed us she would complete within one week.   On December 21 customer indicated she needed until 25th.   On December 26th asked to change the approval to a new source of goods.  New contract was sent on 27th of December.   Customer did not execute.

On January 2nd, the pricing was modified due to market conditions.   We explained new pricing and she was upset and did not want to move forward.  We then worked to see if we could accommodate any other option keeping her offer open past the 30 day expiration.   When we presented those options, she got upset and threatened to keep BBB complaint open so it will hurt us as a company.

Unfortunately, due to economic conditions, we are unable to honor the December 10, 2023 pricing.  There are no further actions planned with this customer.

I am rejecting this response because: The information surrounding the alleged response of myself and the company is false.  It is true that I change my cabinet providers but the agreement was for 30 days.  I am wanting the company at this point to withdraw my information from the credit agencies as I am moving forward with another company.  Their information is on my report and I don't need it there.

They promised that the loan terms and conditions were the same for 30 days.  It was not so.  They never informed me of any changes to the terms and conditions and that is not appropriate disclosure.  I believe that all consumers should know about this dishonest behavior and will do a ****** review as well.  I also believe that they should remove any inquiries off of my credit report.  End of story.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************

    Business Response

    Date: 02/18/2024

We are going to agree to disagree at this point.   Our 30 day approval is for an amount, not for any particular terms and conditions (which are presented at the time of signing).  The customer understands that pricing, terms, and conditions change as she herself changed the provider which changed the terms of our original approval.   Regardless, we are happy that she was able to get financing from another source and complete her purchase.

Community Finance does not run a hard credit inquiry to our applicants.   There should not be any credit inquiry from our company.   We are glad to review with her directly if she would like us to contact her.

I am rejecting this response because this company knows that they agreed to honoring all terms and conditions but they refuse to be honest.  However, I have moved on but will let others know that this company is a fraud.  I have that right and will exercise it starting with ****** and moving into communicating with friends and family.  People need to know about this companys unethical practices.

    That is all.

    Sincerely,

I have been using this company for a few years now to pay off an installment loan. All was well and good until I changed my bank account. After realizing I hadnt updated the account I reached out to them to change the billing account for my automatic payments. They updated their information and I signed a new authorization. They never changed my account. I called a second time and told them but they did not listen. Now they are attempting to charge the same account over and over again, despite it no longer being correct. Every time they attempt I am liable for fees from my bank. Additionally they keep calling me to say that I need to pay in full within 30 days. Had they changed the account as I had asked this would no longer be an issue.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/29/2023

We have resolved the issue with this customer with their updated bank information.   We struggled to communicate with the customer during the time of the complaint.   While he reached out to us, we also tried on numerous occasions to reach out to him.   We have waived all late fees and return payment charges for this customer to help us both move forward positively.

I used community Finance to purchase an expensive dog, that was going to be trained as my service dog ( I am a disabled veteran). Sadly this dog ( 7 mo old pup at the time) not only attacked me in April 2023, and almost killed me, the dog was put down my animal control order to test for rabies ( even though the dog's shots were current. I called Community Finance and explained the situation and and I was told that it would take about a week, but that the loan/lease would be closed given the situation. It is now 3 months later and not only is it not closed, they are still drafting my account twice a month.

The customer indicated that they were having payment issues due to divorce.   Then we received the explanation that they dog attacked her.    We requested copies of the police report, animal control report, and medical letter but we still have not received these documents to date.    Customer made four payments through January 2023 and one additional payment in May 2023.   All other payments have been missed.   Once we receive the documents, we will make a consideration for settling the account.

I was not told that I only had two weeks to pay the loan in full. I purchased a puppy. The owner of the kennel did not explain anything. I feel we were ripped off. If I would have waited and payed for the full length of the loan. I would have paid for the puppy twice. The loan company are thieves and the kennel owners are getting kick backs. I want the money back from overpaying *******. I paid 7 months of $190.00 and one month of *****. I want ******* back

Our customer signed the lease on 8/27/2022.    On the lease document she signed in the 2nd paragraph entitled TOTAL COST we explain the total cost if she makes payment for the entire term.     We provided an early payoff discount as specified in the contract to reduce the total finance charge for paying off early.

We also deny that we have any financial rewards for the merchant to offer our financing.   They get paid the purchase cost of the merchandise similar to other financing solutions.

The client has scheduled to payoff the lease early effective 3/14/2022.

I am rejecting this response because:  this loan was for the purchase of a dog.   I never talked to this financial institution.  They never called me and let me know about the payments and when the final payment was due.   In fact the company that uses this financial institution TOLD me the loan was for 12 months same as cash.   Yes I paid it off because I didnt want to be screwed anymore with more charges they did not tell me about.  This company misrepresented themselves and so did the owner of the dog. They really pushed this financial company on us

This response indicates that our customer is dissatisfied with the store.  Per her response, she did not get this pushed by our company.   While unfortunate that she is dissatisfied about our agreement, the contract was reviewed and signed by the customer prior to completing the purchase.  From the complaint, her concerns seem to be directed at the actions that happened in the store at time of purchase.
