Do not take your pet in this animal hospital. We took our 3 dogs here to get their shots on 6/19/2023. Then, they booked us for another appointment for 7/92023 to go back for shots again. They even sent us reminders thru text and email. On 7/9/2023, my husband came back then he was told that only one dog has an appointment. My husband even showed them the email reminder, but they still insisted that only one is scheduled. So, since he is already there and didn't want to argue then he let them take the only dog that has an appointment according to them. After the vaccine, they showed him what he had to pay, he noticed that my dog received the same shots he received 20 days ago (Bordetella, DA2P, Parvo Vaccines). My husband verified with them that my dog got those shots already and few of the staff were laughing at him in front of the other clients (especially the thick lady with a colored hair) as if he doesn't know what he is saying. I called them multiple times with no luck of speaking to any manager. I spoke with Mylene twice and she couldn't give me an answer either. I called Animal Control twice and they verified that it was too early to give those shots and can cause harm to a dog depending on how much their body can tolerate the side effects. I was able to speak with Deidre, I informed her of my concerns. I even got a reminder from the invoice that my dog needs to go back again on 7/16/2023. She even confirmed those were a mistake and just disregard it. If I don't know anything, I would have come back and take my dog there for the 3rd time to get those same shots again which is supposed to be every 6-12 months. The name of the vet is Ismael **********. They were saying that it has to be done that way because my dog didn't have any records of vaccine from them, of course there's no record because it is our first time to be in that clinic which I really regret. Staff are rude and sarcastic. This place is very unsafe for your pet.

I have located your account and it says that your pet came in with no vaccine history. When a healthy pet, without vaccine history presents for vaccines, the vaccine manufacturers, doctors and the veterinary medical community as a whole, recommend boostering the patients vaccines. This means the pet receives one set of vaccines and then within 2-4 weeks receives another, identical, set of vaccines. This is to insure the pet's immune response is strong enough to fight off the vaccines that he or she was just vaccinated against. I am unsure why someone at Animal Control would not be aware of vaccine boosters but you can confirm this with the vaccine manufacturer and any veterinarian. Adult vaccines are generally given on a semi annual to annual schedule but boosters must be followed up within 2-4 weeks. In fact, when vaccinated appropriately, vaccine manufacturers will pay for treatment up to $5,000, if let's say your pet was vaccinated against parvo and still managed to catch it. This is just one of the reasons why it is so important to vaccinate your pets as recommended. I am sorry if this was not made clear but I can assure you that your pet was vaccinated appropriately because there was no previous history.
