Bought a vehicle from Vaughn Motor Sports on 07/31/2023 with a $15,000 cash down payment. Signed paperwork and walked out. Over a year later they are asking for $2700 more. I have no paperwork saying I owe more. The complaints I see about this business and how they do business is very shady. Had received a call from Summit Collection Services & spoke to Debbie C****. Got very heated threatening threats to pay immediately! I ended up sending a letter for more clarification of supposed money owed to them on 09/25/2024. Paperwork was signed, money Paid and left the business. I have been making payments with the Finance Company for a little over a year now. Deal was done!

I received a call in May 2024. I had not received any mailings and asked if they could email details, as I did not know what the collection was in reference to. They told me how to do this (send an email with a reference number), which I did on May 15. I received a call from Tammy today, Aug. 13, 2024, who demanded to collect payment. I tried to speak but she was overpowering, bullying and threatening. She refused to listen. She said she had sent two emails. I checked my email and the only thing I found regarding the email address was my original email to them on May 15. I was going to give her a different email address to try, but again, she very angrily spoke over me, to the point, I never even got to make that suggestion, and told me that they had tried to accommodate me twice, and they were not going to do it again and that I had to pay in full today. I said I was not going to pay something that I knew nothing about, but again, she raised her voice at me. Because she would not let me speak, and we were not getting anywhere, I hung up. Thank you for your help.

Summit Collections contacted me that there is debt (reference #**********) from a rental car company from an accident in December 2023. They were contacted on December 7 by email that this is not a valid debt as Sixt car rental needed to contact USAA regarding any claims made as they would cover the claim. USAA has attempted to contact Sixt repeatedly with no response. Furthermore, they failed to produce any evidence of the the bill when requested and stated they would provide the information, but failed to. They are trying to charge us with an invalid debt.

I was first contacted by Matt from summit collections on December 19, 2023. He went over what he was calling for and I told him to please send me the information and I will look into it after the holidays. Since then I have contacted my insurance company and they are working on it. I have received several phone calls from this company. The most recent phone call today January 12, 2024 was from Debbie or Deborah. She left a message that was very threatening telling me this will be the only time she calls me from this number and to call her back today before 5 PM. I returned the call and she was very condescending and told me that if I do not take care of it today and then dispute it with my insurance company on my own time that they would forward it to the court. I said I do not appreciate how condescending you were speaking to me and she said she will forward this to her legal department and hung up on me. I then proceeded to call back and spoke with Brian and received the same treatment. I let them know that I will have to have my attorney contact them if necessary because I don’t appreciate being harassed or threatened. I have known about this information for only 3 1/2 weeks and within those 3 1/2 weeks they have harassed and left me threatening messages and it’s not OK with me. They are not even giving me the opportunity to wait for my insurance to contact me back with the information I requested they are demanding a payment today. Overall it was extremely unpleasant and concerning to be spoken to by these people over a matter that I have told them I am handling and it has been 3 1/2 weeks. After reviewing all of their other complaints it sounds like I am not the only one. It is my understanding that there are some laws when it comes to collections some of them being they are not allowed to threaten or harass and I feel like I have bone been both threatened and harassed.
