My husband called the sales department in June of 2024 to ask about what was covered under my extended warranty that I paid for when I purchased the car. They assured him that my struts and shocks, which needed to be replaced, would be covered under that warranty. I dropped my car off on 7/10/24 for warranty work scheduled on 7/11/24. When I called to make the appointment I told them it was imperative for me to get my car back by Friday. Even if I needed to come back (if they needed to order parts). When I dropped the car off, I filled out a form and reminded them that I needed my car back ASAP. They completed the repairs on Thursday and submitted the claim to the warranty department. No answer Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. I was in contact with a service rep who told me there is nothing I can do about it and that I couldn’t pick up my car until the warranty claim was finished. He also told me there is no ETA as to when that will be done because the claim people “work at their own pace”. I asked for the manager to call me but the service tech told me he told his assistant manager about the situation and that he would just tell me the same thing. I called 4 times and left a voicemail with no response. I feel like they weren’t transparent about the warranty when I purchased the car and NO ONE told me I would be unable to pick up my car until the claim was fully processed. If they were unsure if something was covered under warranty, they should have NEVER replaced the parts. They want to charge me over $1000 for parts that cost less than $50 and I could have replaced myself. The only reason I brought my car there is because of the warranty but now are holding my car hostage and refusing to return it.
