4-29-24 I brought our ****** ********** to Lia ****** of Saratoga because this is where my wife and I purchased the vehicle. At the time of purchase we purchased three service contracts to cover any cost. After dropping the vehicle off the next morning The service writer called and expressly told me that brake pads on the front and back had to be changed to pass inspection. I asked her if she was aware I had a service warranty that covered the brake pads which she said she would look into. After research they checked into the extended warranty that i had purchased at the time of vehicle delivery and discovered that the brake pads were in fact covered. After they found that out and called me back they said that the rotors had to be replaced now The front were rotted and warped and the rear had some visible rust. After debating the fact that they were not in need of repair before they found out that the pads were covered under warranty she informed me that the cost was $740 and there was nothing that could be done. I told her that if they needed to be replaced I would have to pay for them but I told her I did not believe them and requested the old rotors be saved so I can have another dealership inspect them. Safety is a concern for me and my family so i have to pay the expense but it seems like there are some non transparent business practices happening. First pads, then rotors only after finding out the pads were covered under my extended warranty plan i purchased. When picking up the vehicle I asked to see the old rotors and have someone again explain it to me. A service writer said he could only find one and that the others may have been thrown away. So not only was the request not filled they had only done visual inspections on the rotors and not measure to see if it was within specifications to pass or fail. The service manager was also theee and could not explain to me why pads were only recommended and agreed that it didn’t make sense to why this occu
