This email is a formal complaint and my experience at McDonald's. This Mc Donald's is located at 1385 Niagara Falls Blvd, Amherst NY 14226. On July 31, 2024, my son and I visited this location. It was approximately 4:40 pm. We stood at the register for approximately 5 minutes before 2 male employees came over to the register. One of the employees was a young Caucasian male. The other was African American male with long dreads. They both came over and completely ignored us while we were still standing at the register. The Caucasian employee began to take the African American male's order in front of us, still not acknowledging us standing there. They both walked away after the employee took the other employee's order. As we stood there we witnessed another Caucasian male, start vaping near where the food was cooked. Finally, an employee, who later identified himself as Ethan the manager. I told Ethan how we were ignored and never acknowledged while we stood there. However, 2 of his employees came to the register to take another employee's order without acknowledging the customers. Ethan said that the African American male behind the counter, was not on the clock yet and he was behind the counter waiting before us. Ethan seemed to come in defense of his employees, not recognizing the fact that a customer was not acknowledged. In any event, I do understand that they may have been busy at that time. I did not mind waiting if we were at least acknowledged while we stood there. After talking with Ethan we left without placing an order. The video surveillance would show the unprofessional treatment that we experience while at Mc Donald's To completely unacknowledged a customer standing in front of them should be unacceptable.
