********************************* sent multiple emails over the weekend to me about a whistling noise. I had her bring the vehicle in 5/1/23 at noon to check for the noise. Upon inspection we found the rear electronic couple differential was making noise. She was at ***** tire a couple weeks prior and she advised they installed the wrong tire size and tread on the vehicle and she needed to go back to have them replace the tires again. The 4 tires on the vehicle are ******* ******* tires but the front tires are "******* ***** traction control" and the rear tires are " ******* ******* ST" tires. The vehicle is All Wheel Drive and all 4 tires must be the same size, tread and brand otherwise drivetrain issues may occur as she is having right now. I provided the quote for replacement and advised her to speak with ***** tire with regards to the issue. She took the vehicle back to ***** and they removed the fill plug on the top of the differential and told her there is no fluid in it. Lack of fluid will not cause the electronic part of the coupler to fail but mismatch tires brands or sizes will.

On February 12, 2022, I brought my car in to Rockland Nissan because the brakes were making noise. The dealer looked at the car and charged me $287.19 to resurface the front rotors and replace front pads. After having this work done, the noise did not go away, I informed the dealer right away of this. I eventually returned to the dealer, they could not figure out the problem, but offered to resurface the rear rotors and change the brake pads free of charge as a precaution. I took the day off from work and returned to the dealer another day to have the rear brakes resurface as promised but the dealer reneged on the offer. The dealer never originally diagnosed the problem accurately and performed unnecessary work to collect money. I would like my refund of the $287.19 for work that did not address the problem I was having. This is a very dishonest dealer that makes offers to bring customers in then go back on their word. The manager I have dealt with is named *************************, service reps ************************* and *********************************.

The customer came back nearly 3 months later. Our technicians could not verify the noise and we are showing nothing wrong with the customers brakes.

    Please see attached vehicle history.

I came to the dealer to resolve the issue of the noise I was hearing in my car.  The dealer changed the pads and resurfaced the rotors for the fronts brakes, stating this was the cause of the noise.  Immediately afterwards, the noise did not go away, I have text messages proving I notified the dealer of this immediately after the first visit.  Upon the second visit, the technician claimed the noise could be coming from the rear brakes.  Based on the information from the technician, the service rep agreed to resurface the rotor and change pads for rear brakes free of charge since the work performed on the first visit did not resolve the issue.  I brought my car to this dealer to resolve the noise it was making, they performed work that did not resolve this issue.  The noise is not consistent which is why the dealer could not verify it, I would not go through all this trouble if the noise went away.  This dealer made an offer and later retracted it, causing me to take time off from work for no reason, that is not acceptable.
