    Island chimney service came to home On January 15th ****. The request by me was to provide a stainless steel chase cap on my abandon chimney which was no longer being used .. ***** came looked & said no problem it is a standard 8x8 chase cover we will have one made.. Come back and install.. Returned to my house a few days later to install , apparently cover they had made was to small and did not fit.. They went to truck got a grinder, they cut the corners on the cap , the cap should look like the lid of a shoe box.. now its bent awful compromising how the cap should look and fit . In addition its function to keep water from entering the chimney is also compromised.. They proceeded to blob silicone all over then they hammered the cap down on the flue.. It is just an awful disgusting mess Improperly down from start to finish.. I paid ****** cash and have a receipt. I am seeking a full refund of ****** so I can hire another company to remove this mess and get the right job done.

    I hired Island Chimney Service to install a wood stove in my home on March 20, 2023. During the installation process, the crew was not prepared and left numerous times to buy materials. They assured me the job would be done in 2 hours but ended up taking almost 9 hours. Once the job was completed, it was evident that the chimney was not installed correctly and they completely destroyed my gutter. When in use, the stove's exhaust makes the entire house smell of smoke. I have contacted ****** numerous times and he assured me he would send someone out. When finally someone came, they didn't address my concerns at all and have not corrected the job. I now have to hire a new company to replace my gutter and fix the horrible wood stove installation. If I could give no stars, I would. I would not let this company touch my house again. Beware and definitely do not hire.

    This is totally unfair.  We worked extremely hard on your installation.  Yes we told you 3 hours and it needed special piping and connections.  You should be glad that we were so diligent to take the time to get it done properly.  No one has ever complained that we went the extra mile. You never told me that there was a smoke issue.  You called me yesterday and we made an appointment with you to come over.  Why would you then go and make a complaint?  You make no sense. We will see you on May 11th as that's our appointment date.  There is no ****** here.  If you have an issue call me direct. I am always willing to work with every client.

    I apologize for my delay in responding. Island Chimney Service came on Thursday, June 1st to address our issues. At the moment, our complaint has been resolved.
