      I shipped my belongings from ******, ** on 5/2/2022, I was told that my furniture would get to ***** within two to three weeks. It is now June 13, 2022, and nothing yet. I have called the ***** office and was told on numerous occasions that it was in transit. However, the last time I called was last Thursday June 9, 2022, and was told that they didnt have any record of my furniture being picked up from ****** as such. I have the receipts given to me by **** de Monte Express, *********, **. I had to buy new furniture because I could no longer stay where I was staying. This has costed me a lot of aggravation, sleepless nights and pain and suffering. I want to be reimbursed for the new furniture that I had to purchase and I have the receipts. I want this company out of business so that they dont hurt another person. I am 70 years old, retired living on a fixed income. Its very hard for anyone to have to start all over again because of the negligence/irresponsible or lack thereof of businesses like these.

      Our company depends on weather and road conditions, that is why we do not give a delivery date, only an approximate one. Our system tells us that for the week of June 27, 2022, they will be calling you to coordinate the delivery of your belongings.

      [ There was nothing wrong with the road conditions. I was told two to three weeks and I want to be reimbursed for the mental anguish/frustration it has caused me.       I am not being compensated for the furniture that I purchased here in ******* and I believe that I shouldnt be out that money. Im a disabled Army Vet and live on a fixed income and it is hard for a 70 year woman to have to start all over again. They should be held responsible for the stress that they have caused me. They broke the contract and not I. ******* from the ***** office wants me to retract the complaint that I filed with the Better Business Bureau but in return for what?? Nothing. Im standing my grounds.

      My boxes are in their **** del monte Bronx ** for a month and still haven't been delivered. They gave my to dates for delivery on which there was No show and no canceled call. The first date i paid for someone to be home for the delivery and for the second date i took off from work and again No show , no canceled call. I have spoken to the supervisor and employees and they gave all these excuses which I don't care for because it been twice that they failed to deliver, i have lost money on the two failed delivery dates . I want my boxes delivered and a discount for the *********** and failed commitment to deliver twice . You fool me once shame on you , you fool me twice shame on me if i don't take action. Can you help ?

      I am contacting your agency for assistance with La **** Del Monte who has refused compensation for a dining table destroyed in their custody. I am requesting a refund for the storage and freight charges totaling $3,009.50.They had the audacity to charge me monthly storage fees for a dining table they destroyed. They solely had complete access and control of the furniture as I was not permitted to inspect my items while in storage. When the movers were in my home in *******, I had asked how does your company know when an item was damaged during the move? He explained that when the items arrive at their warehouse, every item is unboxed and inspected. When I was quoted the moving costs, I was told that each move included a basic insurance coverage of around $6,000 or $7,000 which is why I did not purchase additional insurance. They destroyed my dining table and deliberatively concealed this fact while charging me storage fees for years. Attached are photographs of the damaged dining table. On July 19, 2021, as I was inspecting items, the movers had buried the dining table behind other furniture and boxes. I had to ask them to move the items so that I can inspect the table. The table was destroyed. The contract states that the carrier is released from any liability unless suit is brought within one year of delivery of the goods. I notified the movers and the company during the time of delivery, July 19, 2021.I seek a refund of the freight fees, $300.00 and storage fees paid for the dining table destroyed, $2,709.50, totaling $3,009.50. Had they allowed me to view my items in storage as I had asked, I would not have paid thousands in storage fees.I have enclosed the calculation of the freight and storage fees. Concealment of fact is equivalent to theft and fraud.They conceal, defraud, and charge storage fees for destructions and claim their extent of liability is no more than $50.00. I greatly appreciate your organization for providing assistance with mediation.

      We cannot refund money for a service that was performed. Our documents indicate that you declined to purchase insurance coverage and took out basic insurance coverage at no additional cost. It responds to .60 per pound per item up to a maximum of $ ***** dollars. See attached document signed by you.

      The company did not "render services" and fraudulently charged storage fee.  They are refusing to refund what they were not entitled to charge, storage fees and are refusing to compensate the dining table they destroyed.  I did not hire La **** del Monte to destroy my dining table and then charge me storage for a ruined and useless table.   La **** Del Monte destroyed my dining table and were well aware of it as it was in their possession the entire time.  As if destroying the dining table was not enough, they concealed this fact and charged me a total of $2,709.50 in storage fees.  I would never have paid to store furniture that was destroyed and useless.  I paid over $3,000 in exchange for nothing!  This contract is NOT valid.  It lacks consideration and there was no justly exchange of value.  La **** Del Monte deceitfully charged storage fees and lied when they provided me with the moving cost.  They quote customers moving expenses that include insurance up to thousands then omit the detail in the contract.   One learns of the con after they destroy or loose an item.  They provided me with a similar quote a few months ago in June 2021 as they did back in October 2013 where the quote provided included $5,000 ($6 or $7 thousand in 2013) of insurance and I had an option of purchasing additional insurance at $35 for every additional $1,000.  La **** Del Monte is the party who deceitfully and fraudulently conned thousands from me.   There was no fair exchange of consideration.  If La **** Del Monte continues to refuse to refund at a very minimum the storage fees of $2,709.50, I will take further actions.

       La **** Del Monte has demonstrated they are in the business of committing fraudulent practices.  They alter verbally and physically legal agreements.  La **** Del Monte WILL be exposed for what they are.  A company with a C minus and one star rating should NOT be a "going concern."

      On July 2, 2021, I contacted this business about returning my moving back to *******. According to their office and contract, it may take up to 8 weeks for delivery. It has been more than 12 weeks and every time I call this company they make up another lie. I was told that finally my items would be delivered on November 26, 2021, I called prior to confirming and yet once more they switch the story on me stating that the items have not been cleared and it is in ************. I have been waiting for my things to arrive and they have absolutely no remorse or sensitivity to the clientele. They lie and they do not care, they have an excuse for everything they previously said, and this was a service of more than $1,200 and they are in absolutely no rush to resolve. I have spoken to their receptionist many times and every time I call the manager is unavailable to answer and they all cover their behinds!. This company needs to close if they cannot provide overall security to their customer about service date, and procedures. The first time I called in August they told me it left in July, I called in September they told me it was already in *******. I called at the end of September they said it was still in transit. I called yet once more in October still in transit but *********** stated it was in *******. I called at the end of October still nothing. I called at the beginning of November it was already in ************. It is a horrible back and forward and NONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES CARE.
