I was misinformed and deceived about a hidden payment and now I am obligated to pay a $100 out of pocket charge. During a physical for my employer, I informed Ms. ******* that I didn't have any insurance coverage thus I would be paying for everything out of pocket. I had a physical, a flu-shot, a PPD, and a *** test performed. I specifically asked if there was an extra fee for the *** and she stated that it would all be included in my $125.00 fee. I was later billed by the lab company for $100. I visited the office and shared my concerns and they said that someone would get back to me. Ms. ******* contacted me and informed me that her supervisor never informed her about the change in procedure with the lab and that she was sorry, but I would have to pay the $100 charge. I explained that I specifically informed her that I could get the *** test performed at my job for free on a daily basis. She said she understood but there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak with her supervisor *********, but Ms. ********* chose to send a message through Ms. ******* offering no help or resolution to my problem. I felt like I was deceived and misinformed. Is this how this organization deals with their patients? I am a patient without medical insurance coverage, and I expected better from them. I afraid that after a great relationship with this organization, I will have to sever all ties with them.
