We purchased a Summit beer dispenser/kegerator (************) and used it for 3 ******* (total of 9 months). It will no longer cool. I called for a repair was charged $150 and was told that it is unable to be repaired. What?? A 3 year old appliance is unable to be fixed by their own technicians. ******* i bought this, I researched my purchase and was happy to buy American made and in my backyard (*******). I was told my only option with them (plan B) was to buy a new model for another $1000. (A discounted price from the $1500 retail price). This seems outragous. How is this possible? Nothing is made like it used to be. I have 3 other refrigerator in the home over 15 years old and never an issue! Do I want to spend another $1000 on top of the $1800 i spent so far to have to need a replacement in another 3 years?Summit Appliance Response

We loved our Summit drawer fridge for the 4 months it was working. Dont love that the compressor has gone on it already and just in time for the middle of the summer and heavy hosting season.Summit Appliance Response

Horrible customer service. I bought a range and the oven broke within 2 months. --long story that spanned 2 months and ended up costing me an additional $300.00. Rude, incompetent and absolutely lousy appliances. Not worth the price or the aggravation trying to get repairs taken care of ....Summit Appliance Response

This is a review of the Summit FFRF24SS compact refrigerator as well as the company's choice of authorized retailers and their treatment of customers. Summit refuses to stand for the quality of their products. They list product features on their website, such as the db level of a unit, that are completely wrong. They are complicit with the retailer, appliances connection, by allowing them to be selling damaged products for which they take no responsibility.I bought the FFRF24SS as an upgrade to the 10+ year old undercounter Summit (discontinued version of the CT661WBI) that was in my apartment. This is the most expensive fridge I have ever had. It has been a complete nightmare. The fridge is the loudest fridge I have ever encountered. I have lived in *** studio apartments for the past decade and have lived, worked, and slept in the same room with all kinds of fridges, cheap big fridges and small ones like the one this fridge was replacing. Some of my friends have humongous fridges. And never ever have I experienced this level of noise. Yet, Summit insist this is normal, gaslighting their customers.Further, it is not coming on a couple of times a day, it is coming on every couple of minutes!! Constantly! Moreover, the db level of the refrigerator was stated to be **** dB on Summit's own website, it is actually between ***** dB. Yet, it is normal??I can't tell you whether this is a feature of the FFRF24SS , because this unit arrived damaged. A summit technician came twice to inspect the unit and finally discovered damage in the back of the unit. A big dent. The unit had potentially been dropped. Who knows. Yet, Summit tells me that this is normal and tells the retailer that the fridge is functioning normally and there is nothing wrong with it.Summit tells me that appliances connection is responsible for returns. Appliances connection tells me Summit is responsible for returns. This remains unresolved. I will update my review if there is a resolution.Summit Appliance Response

Hi *****- The decibel level of this refrigerator is **** dB which would be normal for an under-counter refrigerator with side x side doors and a combination freezer, and refrigerator. Your type of flooring, walls, and studio square footage affect how the noise travels within the surroundings of the unit. One of the things that I would suggest is to consider adding a pad to absorb or block sound waves which will aid in making the unit quieter. Anyhow, ********** about your opinion and our goal is to ensure customers who own our appliances are hundred percent satisfied with them. We have agreed to make an exception and arrange pick up of your unit for a refund through your dealer. Please allow ***** business hours to call your dealer and request your refund.Review from Shelly K

I wish I could give Summit a ZERO! We bought a gas wall unit SG0030SS in July 2020, from our local ****** store, bought extended warranty and I have never been able to cook one thing in it successfully. We had repair men here, that replaced a heating coil first time and said it was good. ****, still didn't work, had the second guy here a few months later and he said there was nothing wrong with it. It ***** the top and the bottom, but the middle isn't cooked. Just had the third guy here last week and he said there was something definitely wrong with it and was going to reach out to Summit directly and he hasn't gotten back to us either. So we paid over $2000.00 for unit and cannot use it. I wouldn't recommend them for anything, customer service is not at all helpful and don't spend the money for extended warranty, another waste of money.Summit Appliance Response

Terrible company. I had a cooktop that did not function and I have had an induction cooktop for 10+ years, I called Summit and told them the issue, and the man on the phone (I wished I got his name!) insisted that I didn't know what I was talking about. I had to come back the next day to use "their" induction cookware, which still didn't work! I called back and spoke to a ******* C, who was also very unhelpful - did not help me figure out who was the person who didn't help me the day before so I can make a complaint about him. I ended up returning the Summit induction cooktop and I am NEVER going to buy another thing from Summit again. The customer service is terrible, and the products are unreliable. Hi, I'm sorry about this and sorry about the experience you had. Our Induction cooktops are meant to be used with induction cookware due to the electromagnetic heating technology where heat is generated inside the induction cookware, ensuring a more efficient process with less energy waste, faster heating, and a safer cooking experience. If you used induction cookware and your unit still malfunctioned, assuming it was under the 1 yr manufacturer warranty, you could've called to schedule service or to potentially replace the unit if deemed unrepairable.Review from John N

Company does not repair dangerous and faulty products. Our oven has been leaking dangerous CO levels as per the gas company. I have explained it to three different technicians with Summit Appliance and each time they say that it is the paint that needs to burn off for 3 to 4 hours. But we have been using the oven for nearly a year. I have taken off work to meet technicians who don't even check the CO levels, or bring a CO meter. They just say, "It's working fine and then run out of the door." You have to chase them down and show them the report from the gas company. And then they just go, "Oh, you just need to run the oven for 3 or 4 hours and it will be fine." It is an endless circle of explaining the problem in very simple terms, having the technician rebuff you, and then waiting for another one to come out and do the same thing.Summit Appliance Response

Terrible service, kegarator starts beeping every 2 hrs and won't stop till breaker is turned off and now I have to pay a company to come fix it. Go with another companySummit Appliance Response

If you're paying for the repairs, I can only assume that your kegerator is out of the manufacturer warranty and that you were referred to a local service company for assistance. Here at Summit Appliance we stand behind our product and though you are out of the manufacturer warranty, we have no problem helping you out with parts free of charge if parts are needed to repair your unit. We ask that you send a copy of the service report once you get the unit serviced indicating the parts needed and a copy of your purchase receipt to *******************************
