I have been with Liberty for 4 years. Liberty’s policy states they will schedule a technician within 48 hours of notification. In my latest request for service, it has now been 72 hours and they still haven’t scheduled a technician. I have had to call them 6 times to get status. In my previous requests the technicians they use are free lance people and in two cases they failed to fix the issues and damaged the appliance they were there to fix causing me to have to purchase new appliances, which Liberty would not fully reimburse me for. Liberty is slow to schedule repairs and the technicians they a use are questionable. Be careful if you are thinking about using them as your warranty company.

I spoke with ****** ****** today, who is in the billing department. Our discussion was about how LHG might calculate a prorated refund to me should I decide to cancel my policy coverage. ****** was professional, and easy to understand which was nice since most agents I speak with have been somewhat hard to understand. ****** answered my questions and explained how the process would work if I were to decide to request a policy cancellation. I would rate ****** a 5 if I could do so, but I would rate LGH with an overall 3.

I wanted to update my review of LHG. They have reached out to me, to understand my complaints and wanted to resolve it. I am happy to say, that we have come to a mutually beneficial agreement. Thanks.

We experienced most of the issues delineated in BBB's "Pattern of Complaints" for LHG, which prompted us to cancel our coverage shortly after it began. But the most egregious act was LHG withheld its cost of our repair when refunding what we had paid, even though that repair failed within a short period. It's informative to note LHG committed to remedial actions well prior to our dismal experience, yet the pattern continued, indicative of a lip service response from the company. I would have copied and pasted my letter to LHG, which provides much greater detail but was stymied by the character limit.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Wasted $125 on something that should’ve been covered for them to tell me they would only pay $200 of a $3000 repair because it had not been 90 days….it had been 80. My policy was also paid in full for the entire year already. Waste of money and a scam.

Do not trust home warranty company’s! Especially not Liberty Home Guard!!!!!! I have been without heat since 2 days before Christmas! Was told I was getting a new unit and would be responsible for some labor by contractor that had got ahold of claims manager when i wasn’t happy with the first quote. To end up having to pay thousands! After he told me it was bs that they replace older units than mine all the time with no charge (Ended up taking $300 off) they dont say anything about age just say will replace with equal value which they say mine is zero bc it’s over 15 years old. Home warranty’s are a GIMMICK… Was told he would be here Friday if not Sunday. Haven’t heard from the guy since Thursday. He won’t answer my calls and even changed his number once. Everytime I call customer service they tell me they will give me a call back in 24-48 hours. Last month I had an almost $400 dollar electric bill bc the guy told me to leave it on 60 degrees so pipes don’t freeze and can’t keep heaters or fire going while at work so of course auxiliary heat comes on, which isn’t even cutting it anymore, and who knows what it will be this month. I have spent close to if not well over $300 on firewood so far and still have no answers besides was told today the contractor said they weren’t paying enough in labor so not even sure when or who will be doing it and he had told me when he came out he was the closest being in ******** *** I repeat…. DO NOT USE LIBERTY HOME GUARD!

Awful home warranty company. Every item is too old or some piece isn’t covered by the warranty. My last issue was a refrigerator ice maker repair on a 7 year old fridge. The cost was $330, they wanted me to pay $150 for install after the $150 claim fee. So I get to pay $300 for a $330 repair. This has been the case with every single claim I have filed. Save yourself the money and find a legit home warranty company.

I strongly advise against purchasing a home warranty from Liberty Home Guard (LHG). LHG failed to provide meaningful support when my furnace broke during the winter. The claim process with Liberty Home Guard was unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. Despite paying them $754.99 ($629.99 for the warranty and $125 for their technician to diagnose the issue), LHG used the fine print in their terms & conditions to justify offering either $1,000 toward one of the lowest-quality HVAC systems as a replacement for my top-of-the-line unit or a mere $200 if I sourced my own provider and unit. They cited a lack of maintenance records-something I, as a recent homeowner, could not obtain from the previous owners -effectively penalizing me for something entirely out of my control. This requirement is not only impractical for new homeowners but appears designed to exploit a contractual loophole to avoid fully paying legitimate claims. While their agreement explicitly allows for reimbursement at their discretion, LHG refused to honor their $2,000 coverage limit, relying on technicalities to minimize payouts. This leaves customers the financial burden for critical home repairs. New homeowners beware: make sure you read the fine print in their contract & have maintenance records for all covered items, or you risk being denied meaningful support. After the denial of increasing my reimbursement, I left a negative review, which prompted LHG to call me & offer an "elevated refund" -but only if I signed a settlement and release agreement. This behavior demonstrates their prioritization of silencing dissatisfied customers over providing the service they promise. LHG promotes itself as a customer-focused company with comprehensive coverage, but my experience has been the exact opposite. Their business practices are misleading and exploitative, prioritizing profit over customer well-being.

Save yourself the headache and money. They breached the contract. My boiler was giving heat only upstairs and not downstairs and was told to get it fixed I needed to send maintenance records. Sent those over no problem. Then was told I need records from since the house was built. I haven't lived in the house since the house was built. They didn't care and said I have to find those records or they weren't covering it. Nowhere in the contract does it say we have to provide proof of records anyway. Trying to get our money back now. They also make you take bad reviews down or they won't send you any amount of your refund back. They continuously breach the contract when nowhere does it say any of this. They are scammers and harassers and should be sued. These 5 star reviews have to be fake or they will bully people who write 1 stars
