An electric hospital bed had been ordered by the rehab facility from which my 85yr old sister was being discharged. Informed that ******** only covered a partially electric bed, I upgraded to a fully electric one by paying an additional $500 out of pocket. The delivery date was set for 11/14/2024. At 11:30 that day, I received a call informing me that the fully electric bed was out of stock; they only had a partially electric one for delivery. I had already had the only bed in the house removed that morning (by paying $300 to 1-800-junk). I was promised a call back, clarifying when and if the delivery would be made, which I never received. Finally reaching the customer service manager (a misnomer at best, she was angry, dismissive, and disrespectful), at about 5:00PM that day. Delivery was scheduled for the next day (11/15/2024 as a priority). A phone call by me at 2:00PM that day (having been informed that the delivery would be between 11:00 and 1:00) we were told that we were third in line (hardly a priority). Eventually, that day, the bed was delivered, however without the accompanying bed *************** set that I paid (separately) $96 for. I asked for a refund for that and am still waiting for confirmation of the refund to my credit card.I now understand that this company is just a middle man and a poor one at that. They only order what has already been billed to ********* piece by piece, and that is why the fully electric bed was not available on the agreed upon delivery day. They own nothing, except a phone bank, and therefore feel free to take no responsibility for anything that goes wrong, as their profit (from ********) is guaranteed regardless. There is a 20+ minute wait whenever you call, the customer service does not call back, and when it occurs it angry, dismissive, rude, with explanation that they have nothing to do with the delivery of goods, or the stock at the warehouse, "No one told me" , was a repeated response to issues.A fraud!!Initial Complaint

We have made several calls to this company regarding the incorrect size of my grandmother ***************** commode, ****** and wheelchair however there has been no resolution. They reported approximately 3 weeks ago that they were coming to pick them up however to date no one came to pick the items up. We have made several calls where the phone rings to an automated service then hangs up. We are seeking a resolution for someone to pick them up and cancel the payment as she was unable to use the items.Customer Answer

White Aide delivered a defective hospital bed to my 96 year-old mother's home when she returned from rehab. We immediately called requesting a bed that had locking wheels, went up and down and did not scratch her legs. I've spoken with ***, ******, ******************** and ****. They all assured me our problem would be deemed "high priority." We were told another bed would be delivered last Thursday. No one showed up, nor did they call. How can this company treat elderly people this way and continue to stay in business? I'm waiting for a call back today. They have the nerve to tell you to keep you line open, but they never call!Initial Complaint

My mother, **********************, DOB 1/6/1942 was discharged to her home on 10/27/23. A bed was not deliverered by the company until 10/30/23. After a week of use, the side rails were jammed and the wheel locks on the bed do not lock. I contacted the company several times by telephone and spoke to at least 8 telephone representatives. I was told I could upgrade to an electric bed for a fee of $500. Once that matter was confirmed, I spoke to ********* who stated I should call her only to interact on this matter and that the warehouse manager, *****, would contact me. My mother was admitted to the hospital on November 13, 2023. On Wednesday, ***** promised to deliver the bed on Thursday, November 16. Stated there is a 3 day lag in service orders and purchase orders and he never saw the bed was to replaced. On November 15, ***** called to state he did not have a proper truck to do so and would deliver the bed on Friday, November 17, 2023. At that time, I was not in the home and the bed was delivered to the home health aide. On Friday, November 24, 2023, I was informed that ***** would call me today, Monday, November 27 to send a technician to assess the issue. My the home health aide tells me that an entirely new bed as promised was not delivered but only the electrical motor and rails were replaced. ***** stated to her that this was unnecessary as the mechanism is the same. Please note the wheel locks on the bed headboard and footboard do not function and hence the bed rolls. This is a danger to my mother and responsibility to the aide attending her. Calls have been been repeatedly made to White Aide Medical repeatedly and they will lie about service. Today I have placed a call to their after hours service and left a message regarding this issue. I expect a brand new bed in its entirety in a box to be assembled for the upgrade charge of $500. Not motorized pieces to already defective bed parts. My mother is being discharged from the hospital and we now are dealing with a defective bed for a patient with high fall risk, dementia and fractured hip. I cannot spend 8 hours a day calling the company.Business Response

My name is *************************** and am filing this on behalf of my mum, who passed away in May 2022. She received a ***** lift, wheelchair and hospital bed from White Aid Medical Supplies. I contacted White Aid and spoke with a ***** and told her my mum passed. She told me they do not take back used equipment, I should donate the items to a shelter or the *************** I donated the wheelchair to a shelter. A month later I received a call from a ***** in their billing ***** she stated that all 3 pieces of equipment must be returned because the bill was not paid off and wouldve been paid off in December 2022. I told her I donated the wheelchair and they came and picked up the ***** and hospital bed. Now theyre sending me a bill for a wheelchair, when they told me to donate the items. My mum only received social security, snap and health coverage from her insurance while alive. She had no extra funds.Initial Complaint

I HAD TOTAL HIP SURGERY ALONG WITH FRACTURED PELVIS ON 10/5/2022 AND ON 11/1/2022 TAKEN TO ***************************** REHAB AND DISCHARGED ON 12/1/2022 TO MY HOME WITH ******. THEY HAVE MADE SEVERAL CALLS ALONG WITH APPEALS TO NO AVAIL. This business is committing fraud. I don't know how these places get your information but they prey on the people they believe to be elderly and disabled. I've received previous bills from phony businesses with the same looking invoice. The invoice I received doesn't state what the item is or what the service was for. It shows date of service being on 10/6/2022. Literally impossible to have happened. I was in the hospital, I had spinal surgery on 10/4/2022 then placed in NICU immediately after. I was there for 10 days, then sent to an acute rehab facility for 5 weeks. Before surgery I was in A sub acute facility from 8/3/2022 - 10/4/2022. Any and all equipment that was ordered on my behalf was filed and approved by my insurance.Again, these types of companies prey on the elderly and disabled. I don't understand how this is legal. Attached is a picture of the fake invoice I was billed.Customer Answer
