In April of this year, I turned my car in to have the Sunshade fixed. Its been 6 months and theres no telling when Ill get my vehicle back. Theyve sent it to some shop that didnt seal my roof correctly. They tried to give me my car back after the job wasnt done properly and if it wasnt for my own diligence they wouldve succeeded. That was 4 months ago.Theyll tell me the car is ready and needs one day for detailing. Theyll be unresponsive for 2 weeks there after then say the car isnt ready. The job has been done poorly twice but within an egregious 6 months and counting.I believe they are scamming me by burning the time remaining of my warranty on the vehicle. The service rep *** been working with is **** ******** and his manager is completely negligent of any manners pertaining to the customer. I sent him an email of my experience which he ignored (this was 4 months ago). This is a job that shouldnt have taken more then 3 weeks and its ongoing for 6 months and theyve made no progress on my vehicle The people Im dealing with is the Volkswagen service center which is under the bay ridge Honda titleInitial Complaint

On July 6th I went to Bayridge Honda with the hopes of purchasing a vehicle. I called in advance because my partner and I had already been approved for an auto loan with a third party company and I didnt want to waste my time or theirs if they were no going to take my financing. I was assured that they would, so I went to look for a car. Once we found a car, we were looking to finish everything and sign for the car and they came back and told me they would not take my financing option and we had to run our credit again. After much back and forth they made me leave and said they would call me back Monday. They made me leave a $500 holding fee on the car while we looked into our options. Monday comes around and no one calls us. I call them and they told me to continue waiting for a call because they were too busy to help me even though they have my money. 7PM rolls around and still no call. At this point the dealership is closed. Tuesday comes around, still no call. I call back and they get me over to the finance manager which puts me on hold mid sentence. This so called manager did absolutely nothing to help me. Transferred me to an number that was not even working. Wednesday July 10 comes around and Im fed up at this point. I tell them I want a refund and I no longer want to do business with them. They transfer me to a woman ********* that claims to be the manager there. She apologized, said I will be a refund and en email confirming the refund. Its not July 15 and still no email, I attempt to speak to her again and reception hangs up on me as soon as I ask for *********, I had to call again to ask for her again and she is now not available to take my call and still no call back, no refund, no resolution. I have had to dispute the charge with my banking institution because I paid for nothing. We are going on a week and a half and no car, no refund no service was issued.Customer Answer

I purchased an extended warranty that expires 10/18/2026. I have brought my car twice (5/16 and 6/7/24) to be serviced for the same problem; a hole/leak in the washer fluid container. The problem has not been resolved. I sent the service department pictures (they asked for) showing that by the time I drove back home (a few miles) the fluid had drained out-again. The response was for me to bring the car in for a third time and the mechanic would "drive it around for a while and take it from there." Each visit to the service department results in several hours of waiting. I have asked for a call back from a manager at four times; it has not occurred. I would like a pro-rated refund for the balance of the warranty (total cost was $3,331.58). Bay Ridge Honda (place of purchase) has refused to honor and provide the service I have paid for.Customer Answer

I want to the car dealership to buyout my lease on 11/14/22. During that time I was told to buy a warranty that would cover my vehicle for repairs for 72 months (6 years). I was told the price is included in my lease amount and it comes directly from Volkswagen. I was shown the laminated mat on get dealers desk and told that I would have the platinum coverage. I was not given any additional paperwork as I was told it was part of the loan. I was not told there was a miles stipulation with the 6 year coverage. I was pressured into buying the coverage because they kept changing the price and the dealer said after all you would be getting repairs for 6 years of repairs. We went back and forth about it because I felt very uncomfortable but he swore I would be able to make claims for 6 years. Then I contacted the warranty company a while back to put in a claim for road side assistance. I had to call the dealership to put in ten claim because I did not have the name of the warranty. I was given the name after calling since I did not have additional paperwork. I still was never told about the miles. *** I called 6/3/24 for some repairs and I was told by the warranty company that my policy is closed because I only had up to ****** miles. I was give about ****** miles for the 6 years. The woman at Drive Easy said the numbers do not match and I should call the dealership because she has heard of lower miles (btw I was never told miles were involved) but no one drives ****** in 6 years. She also said ****** is average. So I was never told about the miles and then they snuck in a unreasonably low mileage amount. This is dishonest and was to trick me into paying for something I would never use. I am asking for them to adjust my mileage amount or refund me for the warranty. I have called and left messages but no is responding to me.
. I realized now when they asked me to sign the paperwork they mentioned something about ****** but they told me dont worry about it because I have 6 years. They completely misrepresented what the paperwork meant and never gave me a copy so I can review it or take it home. They told me if I didnt do everything before I left I would have to pay more monthly and that would be without the warranty. Everything was rushed and now I see explained in a way to deceive me.Customer Answer

On about 1/19/23, I took my 2017 Honda Ridge line into Bay Ridge Honda for service and *** Inspection. I also ordered a Key Fob and a tailgate key for the vehicle. I was told that I would get the keys faster if I paid in advance, so I paid. I was then told that I could not get the keys until 3/3/23, a month and a half wait for something as basic as a key fob and a tailgate key. The pick up date has been moved back to 3/10/23 and today I was told to call for an update on 4/6/23. They ave my money but I can not get my items. All they would offer is to cancel my order, if Honda can not get Honda Keys; who can? Please HELPCustomer Answer

We purchased a pre-certified Honda Odyssey from Bay Ridge Honda in 2022. We also purchased the extended warranty. We were told we could cancel the warranty with a pro-rated refund. We decided to cancel about a year into the warranty period (about 2 months ago). We spoke to ******** lovesco who confirmed we could cancel and receive refund. We sent a picture of our milage as requested. We have yet to receive the $3,000 refund check that should have arrived 2 months ago. Bay Ridge Honda does not return calls OR confirm continued warranty coverage. Either we continue to be covered, or we are due $3,000. I purchased a vehicle from BRH in 2020 and have had problems with it ever since! From the faulty tires, to the cars attraction to pests it has been a pain since purchase. Recently I went to get my vehicle serviced (as I have full warranty) and the service advisor had no idea what I mentioned was faulty with my car which was a bit odd, as he was a service advisor. Nonetheless, they told me they would run a diagnostic and call me back. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK! So I had to call back and was placed on hold multiple times, even asking to speak to a manager! No one called back. After calling back an entire day later, and the staff finally deciding to work, I was told my warranty was null and void and I would have to pay for a service I had no idea of. Nonetheless, I will be filling a state complaint, alongside this BBB report. I just wanted other consumers to beware of buying a vehicle or even servicing a vehicle at this weird shop.Initial Complaint
