I hired Jack ********************** to represent me for several violations that I had received from ********** of ******** for my property at ******************* and paid them total of $6400 ($300-$400 per violation). They barely did anything, and did not manage to close even one violation to my favor despite the fact that I had enough evidences to prove that I wasn't aware of the violations occurring at the time DOB inspectors visited the space, my testimony and my tenant's testimony, etc. So all violations were upheld against me in full amount for $62,326.17, and they are all now in collection by DOB. When I asked the person who worked on my case *************************** what my recourse is now, he kept saying that DOB cannot collect anything from you since your income is below poverty level, and when I repeatedly asked how I should go about applying for this exemption, he ignored me all together. I think **** **********************'s practice is unethical and I feel that I've been scammed, and demand that at least they refund my $6400 that they took from me, or finish my case and do whatever needs to be done to stop DOB from putting a lien on my property and push me to the brink of bankruptcy.
