I purchased a service plan with ****** for my Frigidaire refrigerator, which I purchased in August 2021. On Thursday of last week, I called Assurant, the warranty service provider. They said that a technician from Superior Appliance Repair would come to my home the next day between 8 am and 12. When no one had showed up on Friday at noon, I called Superior to request a status update. They said that they did not have my name on the schedule, and they could give me an appointment for the following Monday between 11 and 3 pm. On Monday morning, Superior called me and said that the technician was not coming, but that he could come the next day, Tuesday, between 11 and 3 pm. At 2:15 pm the technician had not showed up, so I called Superior for a status update. They said that they were not able to reach the technician. After the assigned time window passed with no technician, I called ****** and requested a different company. At this point it has been about 6 days since I first called and I have been able to make no progress on the repair of my refrigerator. I would like a new refrigerator.Initial Complaint

On Monday 12th December I called the company and they sent a technician to fix our wine refrigerator. He said that it was the gas and he filled it, and then he said that he was wrong and it was the fan. He said that it costs 350 and he took 200 +25 tax for the visit and was supposed to come on Wednesday to change the fan. He never appeared on Wednesday and when I called he said that he will come on Thursday. Didn't appear on Thursday as well we made arrangements for someone to be home. I called the office to send someone else and they said that they will call me back. This happened 3 times with 3 different operators. I haven't gotten a call yet and no one answers the phone anymore.Initial Complaint

12/02/2022 My refrigerator suddenly stopped cooling after just 2 years, 4 months. The vendor who sold me the refrigerator referred me to Superior Appliance Repair. The technician arrived and pulled the unit from the wall. He put his hand on the compressor and said it was hot and would need replacement. He left after about 15 minutes charging me $244 for the service call saying that the fee could be applied to the repair. I asked for a receipt for the visit and none was provided. An hour later I got a call from a representative from Superior who told me it would cost $1600 for the repair (new refrigerator, same model, costs $800).I asked for a written diagnosis of the broken refrigerator components and a written repair estimate for parts and labor so I could validate the proposed work.It was promised and never sent to me.It is possible that a component of their business model is to charge high initial service call fees for cursory diagnoses followed by unspecified exorbitant repair fees so no one ever "applies the initial service call fee" to an actual repair.I think I was scammed.Initial Complaint

On August 22, 2022 I called ************************* to repair my Kitchen aid refrigerator, and they set up a service company by the name of Superior Appliance to come to my house. Repair man came told me he would order the parts and set a new appointment when the parts arrived. A few days later I got a call stating that a gasket wasn't under warranty and the cost would be $358.20 cents. Assurant told me that the part was included in the warranty. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, Superior contacted me and told me that because I disputed the charge, they weren't going to do any repairs. Superior sent documents to my ******************* stating that repairs were made. which wasn't true because on September 20,2022 another Company by the name FIXITY APPLIANCE was assigned to fix my refrigerator. Superior won't refund my money because they are saying I refused their service. Which is not true. How can a company charge a consumer for a service they didn't provide? They have the gasket and my money. How is that fair? I can't count on Assurant with this problem, Superior is ignoring me, You're my only option. Call me at ************. I can fax documents but can't upload.Customer Answer

Sincerely,
*********************Superior Appliance will not contact anyone other than to claim they did the job. They provide documentation in which they claim they did the job and charged me $358.20 for a gasket that was covered by Assurant under warranty. My refrigerator was repaired by a company named "TOTAL REPAIR" on Nov the 10th and a gasket was never needed what it needed was a fan. They charged me for a part that wasn't needed and embezzled my money. Beware of Superior Appliance it's a wolf in sheep clothing.

Hired Superior Appliance to fix one burner (of four) on a gas stove. During the initial service call, the model number of the stove was provided along with a detailed explanation of the issue. I was told that the technician shows up with parts, specifically for a common issue such as a burner on a stove being out. The deposit of 225 would be used towards getting the stove fixed. I fully expected to have an additional charge The technician could not fix the stove on the initial visit and had to order parts and return. The quote given in total was $738 just 20 dollars short of the price of a new stove. I asked via email for a specific invoice of all part and numbers and labor costs but was told they could not provide specific part numbers and that jobs were just quoted, per job, there would be no labor cost breakdown. I requested part numbers so I could make an informed decision about moving forward. That's like going to a car mechanic and them saying they will fix your car but cannot tell you how or what they are fixing. The Superior Appliance service model is predatory in nature. They lock clients in with an initial deposit of 225 then have the ability to charge a virtually limitless upside. I question how many of their initial visits do they actually fix an appliance without having to return. I paid for service, not an estimate which even that they could not provide details of. Superior Appliance also stopped responding to my mail and only replied when I disputed my credit card charge. I am questioning the service I paid for. I was expecting my stove to be repaired ideally the same day and fully expected an additional charge to the deposit of 225. Instead, I got an estimate to fix the stove without an explanation of what was being fixed and for a price that was just under the retail price of a new stove.I am requesting a refund from Superior and will also put a review out to other potential clients about the predatory nature of the service model.Customer Answer

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Superior Appliance Repair regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
[Your Answer Here]
They have failed to provide a detailed receipt of the work done or parts being installed despite multiple requests. This company has numerous complaints against it, they simply change their name and move on.
Their service model is false and predatory, for a basic fix of my appliance, I was told that the parts should be in the truck, of course they were not. Their fee was just 10 dollars below the price of a new stove, same model.
I would like my compliant posted.
Thank you,
