    On February 13, 2023 I paid $100 on the *************** website to set up an appointment with tax preparers at Premier Tax located at **********************************************. Turns out this payment was meant for new onboarding clients (I was a returning client). When I arrived at the appointment, ******, the tax preparer (and I believe the owner) acknowledged that the payment should not have been made and said that he would pay the $100 dollars back to me by removing it from my tax prep fee. ****** then proceeded to charge me $350 for the tax preparation and I declined to proceed with filing with this establishment because of the steep charge. I asked for the $100 dollars to be refunded and he refused. The company has absolutely no right to this considering they did not complete the service; I did not file with them and the $100 payment I made is labeled as an onboarding new client fee. They have no right to keep these funds.
