I responded to a request for clinical trial volunteers in the second week of May. I heard back a few days later, but they could not schedule a screening call until the end of June. On June 27th they they requested and received a medical records release. My records were sent a week later. Then I heard absolutely nothing until I contacted them in the third week of August and I was told that my records (which they received shortly after my screening call) were received too late and the trial was filled. I am disappointed at not being chosen. However, I am more annoyed than anything. They could have moved quicker and maybe I'd be in the trial. Or they could have simply said, we are too close to the deadline for the trial administrators so don't bother with us. I, my doctor's office, and a records company all did their parts, and the effort was wasted. I now wonder if I have just been used to meet a quota for number of entities reached and there was never any chance of being part of this study. I won't deal with them again.
