    The company called my work looking for me but was sent to another employee with the same first name as mine. The company started to talk to them as if they were me looking to settle a debt. This is very embarrassing to me as someone I work with now has knowledge of my financial problems. I am not sure why the business didn't ask for me by my full name or how exactly they got to the other employee but it is very unethical for them to not make sure they are talking to the right person. Also they should never call my work because it is a personal matter and I can't talk on the phone during company time about personal matter. Everything that has happened makes me never want to work with a poor company.

    This company has been calling my telephone and the telephones of my relatives in a harrassing manner. I never gave tihs company permission to contact any members of my family.

    Thank you for allowing Northtown Capital Services Group to respond to the above-referenced complaint, assigned BBB ID# ********. At this time , our office does have a matter regarding the Complainant, Mario *****. As per Federal Law a Validation Notice was issued to Mr. *****, at the address he confirms as his own, **** ***** ***** **** ******* ***** **  ******


    As for Mr. *****s allegations of “repeated harassment”, our phone records and recordings will show that since receiving his matter from our client on 5/4/2022, NCSG has made one (1) attempt to reach the Complainant via telephone, on June 2,2022. Our records will show that we received no answer or voicemail option on the Complainant’s number ending in XX-****. We contacted one other party and requested to verify Location Information for Mr. *****.
    NCSG was well without our rights to do so under 15 US Code § 1692b- Acquisition of Location Information. You may refer the Complainant to the statute to verify its legitimacy or clarify its provisions.


    At this time, we have placed Mr. *****’s matter into an immediate Cease and Desist status and will return it to our client as such. NCSG can assure the BBB as well as Mr. ***** we will make no further attempt to contact him.

    I call them because I wanted to make sure I had no more payments pending and ensure my last payment had been received. A man answered and was so rude and told me my account was sent to Northwood and they no longer had any information on my case. How can they just send my case ti someone without my knowledge and giving my personal information away without my consent after receiving monthly auto draft payments without fail. To add insult to injury he then hangs up in my face not providing a number of who he sent it to. This company needs to learn alot in customer service, manners, and confidentiality.

    Thank you for allowing Northtown Capital Services Group to respond to the above-referenced complaint, assigned BBB ID# ********. At this time, NCSG has been instructed not to work any matter owned by Northwood Asset Management Group. All their matters were removed from our offices on 5/15/2022.
    I have reviewed the telephone call received from Ms. ****** on 5/17/2022, and at this time I find no reason for this complaint. Our representative simply attempted to instruct the Complainant that she would need to contact the owner of the matter for further instruction. It was our understanding that this business entity would plan for communication regarding the matters they held, and we were not given any further information other than the matter being returned to the owner.
    During the call, which had a duration of a mere 47 seconds, our Representative attempted to give the Complainant what information he could and instruct her on how to follow up. It seems Ms. ****** did not like what she was being told. As for us “placing her case” anywhere, NCSG holds no legal right to placement on this matter. There is no “case” that is now or was ever held in our office. Ms. ****** had been working with us in reference to a matter she chose to engage in a repayment agreement on. Northwood Asset Management is the owner of the matter and our Representative attempted to advise the Complainant this; in an effort to explain why and where her matter had been moved. We assert no wrongdoing in this matter and again would refer Ms. ****** back to Northwood Asset Management Group for any additional information.
    We look forward to assisting the BBB in any future matters associated with our business and apologize that we are unable to assist the Complainant further.
