            Pattern of Complaint:
            BBB attempted to contact JTM Capital Management, LLC on Oct. 21, Dec. 5 & 17, 2018 and Jan. 16, 2019, regarding a pattern of complaints. During the past 36 months, BBB received complaints alleging debt collection activities violating the FDCPA. Specifically, consumers allege they are threatened with lawsuits and garnishments and are advised a person will be at their home in one hour to provide a signature on legal documents. Further allegations include having third parties not authorized to have information about the debt contacted regarding said debt and the company has failed to provide validation of the debt after specifically requested by consumers as outlined by the FDCPA. 

            BBB asked JTM Capital Management, LLC to voluntarily cooperate in eliminating the pattern by providing a written response outlining the specific steps it would implement in order to avoid similar complaints in the future.  

            In addition to requesting cooperation from JTM Capital Management, LLC in resolving its complaint issues and the underlying causes, BBB requested additional information the company failed to submit.

            BBB has received a response on March 13, 2019. The company responded stating they do not believe that they have a pattern of complaints due to the small percentage of complaints filed against them. They stated, “We are a passive debt buyer” and “We place debt purchased with licensed agencies we do not collect debt ourselves.”

              I have a fraudulent credit card debt that was transferred to JTM Capt. Mgmt. For the past 3 years I have tried to get in contact with anyone to solely get documentation concerning this issue and no one has answered to any way I have tried. Credit report agencies refuse to remove the debt and it continues to impact my credit unless I provide the correct paperwork, which is impossible since JTM will not respond.

              I was contacted by the company in 2017 to resolved a credit card debt they acquired for the establishment. With threats of suing me, taking me to court and possibly sent to jail if I did not pay them the debt. In 2017 I paid the debt to this company. In 2020 they tried to collect the debt again and I said no it was already paid. After a week they said I paid it wasn't properly placed in the system. Now in 2023 I have received threatening calls from a law firm on behalf of the original establishment saying they are suing me, taking me to court and if I do not pay it will be bad for me. I want this debit resolved correctly and to quit being threatened.

              JTM CAPITAL MANAGEMENT LLC appearing on my credit report for $11,500 transferred to another lender. JTM CAPITAL MANAGEMENT LLC is not license in my State of Michigan to do business. JTM CAPITAL MANAGEMENT LLC has never sent me any contract from ******* Bank that I owe money. The new debt collection law in Michigan and I requested a cntract to be presented. Billing Statements are not acceptable any longer says the ******** ********* ********** Buruea. ***B. The ***B has currently started litigation against JTM CAPITAL MANAGEMENT LLC for this reasons. I request JTM CAPITAL MANAGEMENT LLC to remove theirself completely off my credit reports immediately.
