My son has never missed an appointment with this medical group and they tried to charge him $100 for a missed cleaning. I understand that he didn’t make it. But charging college students $100 is a robbery. And the cleaning is cheaper than the fine. Their policies are a little absurd for anyone to comprehend. Extremely disappointing at these crooked policies they’re trying to get away with.

My problem with WNY Dental Blasdell office is their policy of wanting full payment after treatment and not waiting for the Insurance to pay their portion. The staff will berate you for asking them to wait for claim to process. I use *******, claims completed within 10 days or less and payment sent to the provider. ******* also sends me an email stating my portion that is due and then I promptly send a check. After my last treatment, June 4, 2024, they wanted immediate payment, I refused and asked for submission to insurance. ******* completed claim on June 10th, I sent check and WNY Dental received it on June 13th. My wife had a procedure June 17th, the staff berated her to pay immediately. They charged her bill on our ********** and also charged the balance of my account $36 without telling her or me. I called the office and the said they had the right to charge me. I advised them that ******* stated it paid WNY Dental on June 10th. WNY Dental says the payments go to an office in St. Louis and that delays accounting. The accounting delay is their problem that they need to fix, not my problem. This business is unethical in their billing practice. Don't let them harass you into immediately paying the balance when you have insurance. SHAME ON THEM !! I plan on looking for another dental practice, one that has ethics.

I was sent out to Western New York Dental Groups office out in East Amherst on Youngs Road for a second exam for a bone replacement graft on one tooth. The Periodontist had me listed for TMJ which was not what I was sent there for. That office gave me a estimate of over $3,000 of which my insurance mostly denied since this "office" didn't provide needed information to the insurance company. The exam was already done at the 1st location near me on Delaware Ave. in Buffalo. All this additional visit was basically for a closer exam and a estimate. No tests or x-rays were made. I received a bill for this 2nd visit for $184 which my insurance paid $43 for a 5-7 minute visit which is ridiculous. There shouldn't of been a charge in this first place since all I got was a 2nd opinion within the same "Dental group", just another remote location over 7 miles away. This reminds me of ***** Dental 10 years ago who treats customers as cash cows.

I contacted this office twice, I haven't had a reply back yet. I asked for the name of the 'office Mgr." but that was never given to me.

I went to WNY Dental on Youngs Rd. In williamsville. It was the worst experience yet at a dentist. My appt was for an assessment only at 4 pm. The assistant said we can do the procedure in very little time, my last to top molars were grinded down to be fit for crowns, the impressions were I correct, my teeth nubs were so small, they basically ruined my teeth, the crowns did not fit. They didn't trim them down at all. The assistant was doing all the work and the dentist was trying to leave at 5pm. On my next visit back the guy who removed my crowns was not even a worker. He was being baby sat for the family there. He must have been autistic. He approached me with pliers and pulled off the temporary crowns. I was in hot pain. I needed two root canals which they failed to do. I was in pain For 5 month, had two bottles of Anvil for these mistakes they did to me. On a positive note take warning seriously. They are good only for cleanings, not real solid in skills for shaping teeth and creating crowns.

My wife and I both have had issues with WNYDG. Constant late cancelations and dentist changes etc Had a horrible experience with an upper rear tooth being filled. Extreme amounts of pressure and and issues smoothing after Days later, after my jaw was no longer sore, I tried to chew on that side and a filling came out. Turns out it was from the tooth next to it and I need it extracted. Referred to an oral surgeon at another location. Took off work to have it extracted at this depew location, the only appointment available in about 2 months. In mid June. Couldn’t book me until into august etc. Appointment was canceled. When I spoke to the office the woman on the phone was more than rude. Completely unprofessional. Lacking any form of tact and or proper training on how to talk to people who are not only paying customers, but likely in pain. It is a difficult job. I understand that, but this woman should not be employed in a position that requires communication skills she lacks. I spoke with her supervisor, Amy. She defended her employee and said she had heard the entire conversation. Although she likely couldn’t have heard anything from my side of the phone. I now find this issue to fall onto this supervisor. If she allows her employees to talk to patients without any form of decency, tact, and or professionalism, using a tone that conveys attitude without expressing any understanding or empathy, speaks directly about her as well. I spoke to other WNYDG offices and was finally able to find an employee, Catherine at the OP location, that did help me. I do have an appointment now tomorrow, in June. Not August. This situation makes me wonder what exactly this employees job is and how is it different than the employee that helped me? Why is one so much better than the other and likely paid the same amount? I and my wife will likely take our business elsewhere after tomorrows extraction. If we stay with this group. It is solely because of Catherine’s actions.

I have worked as a qualified health professional (QHP) for over 25 years and how I was treated this morning, although not unethical, is very disrespectful to patients in any health setting. I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning two months ago. I arrived 20 minutes early for the appointment which was supposed to be at 11 AM. at the time of the appointment I was called up to the desk and handed paperwork that took me about 20 minutes to complete. 5 minutes later I was called back. I had a brief conversation with the hygienist about my experience so far who then informed me that because she had another person scheduled at noon, she would be able to get everything else done that they "needed" to do, but I would have to schedule another appointment to get the cleaning (the reason I made the appointment) done. I told her that I would rather just get the cleaning done and forgo the other things (X-rays), but she informed me that their "policy" wouldn't allow for this. I responded that I would reschedule then to get everything done at once. She proceeded to walk me out. I then asked to see a manager and was told that the office manager had already left for the day. I then asked to speak with whomever was in charge and was told to have a seat in the waiting room and the dentist would be out to talk to me. I waited 10 minutes and then asked to speak with the dentist and again was told he was with a patient and I could wait in the waiting room. I asked the staff to have him call me as I figured I was wasting my time sitting in the waiting room. As of 3:30 PM, no call. I suspect I could have waited all day and still have not spoken to the dentist. no one offered me a new appointment and two months later I still need my teeth cleaned.

Stay away from Western New York Dental AKA “The Fast Food” of dentistry!!! I recently moved to Rochester and was looking for a decent dentistry that I could trust. On an Important note, I recently finished my orthodontic treatment and had to wear plastic retainers for 2 years. I came to WNY for a simple filling and I told Dr. E******** specifically that after he finished the filling he needed to adjust my tooth so my retainers will fit correctly. After the filling was completed Dr. E******** took my retainers without asking me, drilled them and modified their shape instead simply adjusting my tooth. He had no prescription nor did he consult with my orthodontist at all to justify his changing of my orthodontics. For the next week my tooth was hurting while I chewed and while eating. I went to another dentistry and doctor told me that my tooth was scratching my bottom teeth and that’s why I was having pain, she then spent 1 min to adjust my tooth and said that previous doctor has no right to change my retainers and he simply ruined them so then I had to buy new ones (cost me another $200). On another note, I feel it is important to mention that while working with me Dr. ********* was jumping from one room to another and was working with a few patients including myself so it felt like I was the dentistry equivalent to the fast food industry. I asked WND for refund for last procedure at least (not mention that after their mistake new retainers cast me $200), they refused. Then when we called again we were able to record the head of their staff admitting that the modification of my retainer was done without permission. We then requested the medical records for the appointment for my filling which were mailed to us after several more phone calls and us threatening to sue. THE MEDICAL RECORDS DO NOT SHOW THAT MY RETAINER WAS MODIFIED. They lied about it and we have recorded proof. I don’t want to trust my teeth to someone who apparently is getting paid per jo
