    Allstate Appraisal Company was hired by my Credit Union to do a home appraisal for a home equity loan that we are in the process of taking. The Appraisal was done by Gerald P******** on June 13, 2022. Upon receipt of the Appraisal Value I contacted my Credit Union asking for information because the appraisal seemed to be much lower than it should have been. The Credit Union representative that I was working with (Stacey D******) informed me of the valuation and the homes that were used as "comp's" by the appraiser. None of the homes that were used as a comparison were comparable to our home in size, number of rooms and extra ammenties that our home has. Stacie reached out to the appraiser to question the appraisal and was told that it would not be changed. On July 11th I received a copy of the appraisal and found multiple blatant errors. The errors included: (1) The square footage of my home was incorrectly listed as 1,676 square feet instead of 1,996 square feet, this alone caused the house to be undervalued by $50,000 dollars. (2) In the appraisal report Gerald falsely stated that he had researched the home and found that it had not been bought or sold in the past 3 years when we in fact purchased the home 2 years ago. (3) In the comparables provided to us Gerald falsely stated that one of them had a 2 car garage which the house clearly does not. (4) The diagram of our home that he provided was completely incorrect, the rooms were not in the right places and this diagram clearly belongs to another house. I find it deplorable that when he was questioned by the Credit Union about the appraisal that he did not go back and make sure that the information he provided was correct.
